Tulip Festival at Hatter’s Farm

[Ad- gifted experience] We’ve been to quite a few of the events at Hatter’s Farm, primarily checking out their pumpkin patch and their confetti fields! Hatter’s Farm is a local farm to us that is always changing with the seasons and putting on fun events. This year, they’ve added the Tulip Festival at Hatter’s Farm, which feels absolutely perfect for the springtime. We all went along to take pictures of the beautiful flowers and learn more about tulips.

When it comes to attending the Tulip Festival at Hatter’s Farm, you can pre-book, but that ticket is very flexible so that you can watch the weather and come accordingly. I very much appreciate this as the weather can be a little unpredictable when it comes to the springtime. We parked up in their carpark and then started walking through. The Tulip Festival at Hatter’s Farm was a bit more spread out then previous patches we’ve been to, with the main entrance having a big tulip house, along with some potted tulips for sale in a bunch of stands. Towards the barn, there were a few food stalls; a taco place, a gyro place, some Dutch pancakes, etc. We went through the middle and checked out the hay maze.

Robin had been asking if there was a maze and excited to go into one, so she had a run through the hay maze, a climb up the hay tower, and we all walked over the big bridge that had tubes in the bottom for kids to climb through. This little play area is fun for younger ones attending the Tulip Festival at Hatter’s Farm, as it is very much a fun area to play about in. We were looking at the tulips ahead of us though, so headed right over there. And, there were absolutely tons of tulips.

A giant sign told us all about the varieties of tulips that were at the Tulip Festival at Hatter’s Farm, which was very interesting to look at. There was also a breif history of tulips themselves on the walk up. The tulips were in rows of flowers, sometimes mixed up and other times by type. We were able to take lots of pictures in the field, with lots of backgrounds like a giant windmill, the word Hatter’s, and a few little bridges. These pictures came out so well! Kai and Amelia also had fun taking pictures of the individual flowers, which Robin did for a bit before she just enjoyed seeing everything. In the tulip field, there were some chocolate covered strawberries that we got too. Outside the tulip field, there was a short, very stunning walk around the pond that we’ve actually never been around before. This area had a bunch of different facts about tulips as well.

Before heading out, we did have a look at the coffee / cocktail booth and picked up some donuts, which are in the main area sort of near the exit. When we exited the Tulip Festival at Hatter’s Farm we went through the gift shop, where you can actually create your own bouquet of tulips. You see, the field isn’t for picking as they are keeping it all pristine for pictures and walking around, so instead there are a bunch of buckets in the gift shop where you can create your own and take them home. We let our children pick them out and came home with a beautiful set of flowers! It’s just such a stunning, fantastic place.

You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!
