[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to science, it’s always good to get children interested in learning science, especially if it can be done in a really fun and interactive way. Kai is a big fan of science, so when he saw the Ultimate Gross Science Kit, he was both delighted at the gross-ness of it, and interested in the scientific aspect of the kit. This kit comes with 12 different, gross, scientific experiments. Many of them come with everything you need, however, some do need average household items like ketchup and water.
Kai set to work on this box, which he could do without much guidance at all. The experiments are all listed in a booklet, which is easy to follow and read. They define what items you need to take out of the box for that experiment and which items you will need to get from your home, if any, to complete them. After flipping through the book, the first thing Kai wanted to do was a vomiting skull head, which has you mixing a few different chemicals to create a bubbly mixture that runs out of the skeleton’s mouth when you add water. It was a very funny experiment.
Another experiment that was a hit in our household was creating a bouncing ball eye, which had you create a small bouncing ball with a bead, then a bigger bouncing ball around it. Kai carries around this eyeball all the time, playing with it constantly. Unlike other bouncy ball kits we have previously done, this kit was quite high quality, so the ball actually came out well and lasted for quite some time. We did another experiment where Kai made a blood bag, which looked a whole lot like blood, and he thought that was the coolest thing ever.
In another, quite gross experiment, Kai made a bladder, that then peed out, which he thought was the most funny thing in the world. All of these experiments were very well made, with such detailed and easy to follow instructions. The Ultimate Gross Science Kit is perfect for kids aged 12 to play on their own, showing you the various experiments once they are completed. Kai had a great time showing them off!
This looks like a fun kit. You have just reminded me that my son got a crystal growing set for his birthday and we still haven’t used it!
You should totally use those kits!
This is amazing, I have bought a similar kit for my youngest and he loved it. I will check this one, seems awesome.
This one is really high quality.
I was never really into science as much as a kid, and my brother wasn’t interested in anything. But I think to make it all gross and interactive might have got us more interested x
Making it gross seems to get boys more interesting.
My niece loves to do experiments like this. Her birthday is coming and I am looking for a gift, and I’m sure she will love this Gross Science Kit. Thank you so much for sharing this!
It’s a really fun gift!
These kits are right up my alley. I have Science nuts in the house.
