Robin recently went to a birthday party at Urban Limitz Trampoline Park at Harlow Leisure Zone, and then, of course, wanted to have her birthday there. We have done a lot of swimming at the Leisure Zone, but hadn’t tried Urban Limitz previously, so I went on the task of booking up her birthday. When it comes to booking a birthday party, it’s quite a task, as the person who plans parties only works a few days of the week and you need to call them, leave a message, then wait for them to call you back. There also is a huge amount of information you need to collect from each person attending the party, along with getting them all to fill out wavers and submit them to you.
All of the information is due well ahead of your party time, along with food orders for the food room. It felt really stressful, especially as you are paying for a party package that doesn’t even include a person to help you organize on the day. When it came to the day of the event, the staff at Harlow Leisure Zone also told me we could use our party room, but when I went there the cleaner was very frustrated that we were told that and ended up locking all of our stuff in. It’s quite chaotic! I would recommend skipping on booking a party and just book the general bounce, as the party aspect isn’t really worth it.
When it comes to the actual jumping part of Urban Limitz, this trampoline park is really quite a fun one! There is a locker area, with free lockers, to put your shoes in, along with an area to change into their special gripping socks. Once your hour starts, you can run into the trampoline park and basically go everywhere! We’ve been to some parks where there are sections for different ages, but this area is more of a free-for-all, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t much to do. There is a giant soft play style area that Robin and Amelia spent a bit of time climbing, which is so high up! Of course, there are a bunch of square trampolines, along with a softplay style car that you can jump over and jump off of. This is something Robin absolutely loved, as she liked declaring she “jumped over a car.”
Towards the back of the trampoline park, there are more challenging courses, that Kai really enjoyed. There was this one area that has a bunch of soft balls that you can run and jump across, to a finish line. I swear Kai did this like 20 times. There is a bunch of pits, filled with soft cubes, where you can battle with a giant baton or try to tight rope across. There even is one of those ladders that you can climb, but it can flip you off into the cubes. Another area has you swinging and climbing on circles, that allow you to cross the area. Urban Limitz has little single person areas too, mainly to throw balls into hoops or into catch areas, or have you smashing buttons on a wall that light up, while jumping on trampolines. These areas felt very good in the way that they were sectioned off, so that children could play them properly on their own.
Another area had a Ninja-style obstacle course, that had a few obstacles in a row. There was a manned area that had a massive jump, where you could do flips onto a crash pad. It was good to see this area manned, as the jump was massive! Another place had a rock wall that could have you fall into a foam pit, and a third area had a long trampoline for flips and the like. It’s just got so much variety that you’re not going to get bored during your time there. We all had a fantastic time jumping, bouncing, and playing with Robin’s friends. It’s a fantastic place to let out some energy.
It’s also worth mentioning if you are an adult that doesn’t feel up to bouncing around, you can sit in the above viewing area, which has tables and a good view of all of the children below. You can also walk into the trampoline park area, if you need too!
You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!
The place is awesome…I’ve been to a similar experience with my kids and they had a fantastic time. I would love to go with them to the urban limitz….So cool….
Trampoline parks are the best thing ever! My kids love them. Urban Limitz sounds like a super fun one.
It looks like a fun place for the kids. My son loves trampolines. This must have been a great experience for you all.
Robin’s birthday bash there sounded like a blast! Booking parties can be such a hassle, so I appreciate the heads-up on that front.
That’s such a shame that the party element wasn’t worth it, but great that the main trampolining was good fun. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a trampoline park and I really want to go to one again x
This looks absolutely amazing! It’s been so long since I’ve been to a place like this. Super fun, a great experience, and even a decent workout lol. Thanks for sharing, so glad you guys had fun!
This is a neat adventure park! Love the lighting and the different areas. I can see why kids love this place!
Love to visit the Urban Limitz Trampoline park with my cousins. Looks like a fun place to spend a weekend. Thanks for introducing it to me.
