Previously, Robin has reviewed the Zzopla Mini Ball, which is a smaller version of this toy, however she also got her hands on this red Zzzopla Thunder Ball (thunder being the design) which is full sized! It’s quite a bit larger and heavier than the mini, creating something that doesn’t quite adapt itself as well to being a fidget, but does have some very fun uses.

The Zzzopla Thunder Ball is a red ball that has a bouncy outside, but a sort of core in the middle that can spin. This allows you to spin the ball on your finger or on a surface, as a way of playing with it. When we first got the Zzzopla Thunder Ball, we thought that this core might make it so that the ball ends up bouncing in strange ways, however, it is sort of set into the ball, not hitting the floor when you bounce it around.

Robin likes how heavy and weighty the ball is, making it very satisfying to throw around and spin! The little spinner in the middle just feels extremely unique and interesting, creating something new within a classic thing like a ball, and you can spin the ball while throwing it to create some interesting tricks – especially if you have a wall to bounce it off of.

This ball does feel like it’s not going to break and as it’s made of a harder plastic, it doesn’t have the ability to pop or anything. Robin very much likes the red color and the little lightning bolts on this version of the Zzzopla, which is always a plus too. The Zzzopla Thunder Ball is a simple toy, but one of those types of toys that feels ideal for outdoor play, especially as the weather warms up and kids are playing in the garden!
