At the end of last month, I went along to the Toy Fair 2020 – I go each year, mainly to check out board games for Big Boss Battle, a site I am one of the owners of. As we’ve been reviewing toys on this blog, I figured I’d spend more time looking at the Toy aspect of the Toy Fair. Sadly, on the day we were meant to go to the Toy Fair, our car’s catalytic converter was stolen while parked in a parking lot – what a wild ride. Because of this, I ended up only having part of one day to explore the Toy Fair, but I booked a few appointments and checked out a bunch of different toys. I wanted to share with you what I found to be the coolest toys of the fair!
Flowerbed Babies
From the creators of My Fairy Garden, this year, they are releasing a new set of Flowerbed Babies, which were on show at Toy Fair. These are smaller, baby fairies that grow on top of an actual, edible plant. These toys come in a small yet adorable cup that you can then plant your herb into. The baby faeries are born on a flower which contains biodegradable pedals which contain seeds to grow your own edible plant. Once you have planted your pedals, you can put your Flowerbed Babies’ bed on top of the dirt, to help the plant grow. It’s a very cute and clever idea which brings children closer to gardening, in a very cute scenario. These are coming in Spring of 2020, at the retail price of £4.99
Fuzzi Street Dress Up
Part of the Fuzzi Street line, they are releasing a bunch of Fuzzikins which come with loads of different dress up accessories. These little, slightly fuzzy toys can be coloured in with markers, then washed to come clean again, meaning children can colour in new outfits or change their looks again and again. There are a bunch of Fuzzikin sets already out there, but this dress up line really caught my eye, as all of the little accessories are just so cute! They also can be coloured in to change the look of them – such a lovely idea.
Hey Duggee Smart Tablet
In a time when every household seems to have tablets, a children’s tablets for the younger members of the family is just fitting. The Hey Duggee Smart Tablet teaches children loads of basics like counting, colours and letters while seeing familiar images from Hey Duggee. The tablet doesn’t look too similar to an iPad or Android tablet, but it’s so bright and colourful – it’s really great. The Hey Duggee Smart Tablet is coming out in Spring of 2020, at the retail price of £17.99
Prima Sugarinas
Prima Sugarinas are adorable, cute tops that come out of candy! Basically, these dessert themed tops are spun by being placed inside a plastic candy, then pulled apart – revealing and dropping the Prima Sugarina onto the floor where they spin out. Not only are they easy to spin because of the plastic case they come in, but they look adorable too. Each different character is scented, smelling like the food they are inspired by. There are 25 different Prima Sugarinas to collect, all of which can be spun and played with. They each also come with a stand, if you’d just like to desplay them or play with them like a doll. When Prima Sugarinas hit market, they will have the retail price of £4.99.
GraviTrax Pro
GraviTrax is a popular toy in our household. The current starter set allows children to create marble mazes, however, at Toy Fair, Ravensburger were showcasing a Pro version. You see, in the starter set, you need to stack up lots of small platforms if you want to build upwards. The Pro set has a major change; tall, vertical blocks that are the height of 7 of the normal platforms, with a gap inside of them so you can build through them. This means that children will be able to build up – which is great for limited space and more compact, complex building. They were also showing off the GraviTrax app, which is a free mobile app that allows you to build your tracks and test them in the app before building them in the real world. You can see level by level instructions in this app, which is a great function. Ravensburger is also releasing a bunch of different expansions this year – oh boy are we excited. I didn’t end up grabbing a picture of the pro kit, but you can see the above starter kit being demo’ed at Toy Fair.
Toy Fair, as always, was a fun event. I look forward to going next year and being able to explore for more than a single day.
Oh my gosh, the Fuzzi Street dress up look so cute <3
They really do!

These all look so fun! I’d love to check out a Toy Fair!
I believe they have a few around the world – there is a famous one in Germany and this one is in London. You get to demo a lot of toys which is fun.
Fuzzy toys are looks cute and my little brother would love it. Also, being able to color it is another fun thing to get him busy.
Yeah, and being able to wash it away is handy if he makes mistakes or wants to change them. 🙂
These toys are all so cute! And it looks like it was so much fun!
Kids have the best toy selection these days. 🙂
