[Ad – Gifted Products] When Dann and I came back from America, Robin got the America the Beautiful coloring book through the mail. She’s a big fan of these sort of coloring books that promote mindfulness and just give you something fantastic to color – she’s actually been working on shading as well. I thought at first this coloring book was for the 4th of July, and had just been mailed out early, but after visiting America I think it might be for America’s 250th anniversary. I didn’t realize this was a thing that was happening, but it does make more sense.

The America the Beautiful coloring book has tons of different pages that all feel very American. From BBQ scenes to historical moments like the Boston Tea Party, to classic things that Americans would do in their day to day life. It’s a very interesting collection of American culture, in a way that feels slightly different from other coloring books that we have used. None of the characters in this coloring book are humans either – they are all animals who are doing the actions of people.

Robin took to a coloring page about the drive-in theatre, which is something that does feel specifically American and quite retro these days – I have never been to one, but know of one that existed in my town. After she had colored in that page, she went straight to an American BBQ, asking about all the different foods that were on the page. It was a good selection and something that I would have very much seen on the 4th of July! I think it’s very interesting to have the America the Beautiful coloring book, as it’s a neat way to learn a bit more about America and celebrate America as well.
