Audley End House and Gardens is a really lovely English Heritage grounds, that we tend to visit whenever they do any of their seasonal events. This year, they had a light festival called Enchanted Audrey End. I had heard all about Audrey End light shows, but you do need to pre-book well ahead of time! So, this year we were prepared and we were able to get the whole family along for the fun trail!
As previously mentioned, Kai really enjoys Horrible Histories. After he read his Horrible Histories Horrible Christmas book, we heard about the Horrible Histories Christmas Car Panto, which seemed like a really fun event. We have not been to a drive in before, and I have not been to a panto as those aren’t something we have in America, but I was super excited to figure out how both would work!

It is one of our yearly traditions to attend Lightopia! Previously, we have waited until January to go, but this year we figured we should grab tickets while we can, in case the event wasn’t on for as long as previous years. Lightopia, if you do not know, is an event ran by the same people who ran Dino Kingdom! They put on a huge showcase of light sculptures and music, that you can walk around, at various locations in the United Kingdom. We went along to Lightopia London, at Crystal Palace Park this year, as a double date with Claire and her partner.

That’s why, these sort of snack subscription boxes, are really a good fit for us! As a family of 5, it is so much fun to snack on new flavors and foods, together, and explore what they may taste like. Tokyo Treat Crate is a monthly subscription box that has a different theme every month. These various boxes contain 16 different treats for you to test out and enjoy, all from Japan!
We ended up getting the Fruity Fall crate, which had lots of fall-inspired treats for us to sink our teeth into. The box, actually, was super loaded with treats. It took us quite some time of snacking to actually get through it, which feels like really good value for money. Even with the children wanting to try bits of everything and with packed lunches having some of the treats as their treats, it did take us a while before we snacked the box down.

We love finding new books that fit different seasons or have various characters that are recognizable – or are just unique to our collection. This book is a new addition to our collection. The Christmas Snowflake is a book that you can personalize by adding the names of your family members to the book – where they will appear in small details in the graphics and as apart of the snowflake itself. I absolutely love books that are like this, as they feel magical and unique to our family – a book that really belongs to everyone listening to the story being read. The Christmas Snowflake is a story about a little winter snowflake who is looking for a place to call their own. This snowflake travels all around the world, playing with loads of winter animals, before finding a home inside the household of the people who currently have the book. This snowflake is so beautiful and the story is very fun.
