Tomojo Cat Discovery Box | Review

All of my life, I have heard whisperings about someday having to eat bugs as the main source of protein. I’ve actually known a handful of people who used bug protein as a main part of their diet, but it is not something I have personally ever tried or even experimented with. When it comes to Pancake, our lovely cat, he already eats bugs! The little guy will chase, hunt down, and promptly eat any bug given to him, so when it comes to eating bugs, I’ve left it for him.

Tomojo is a new cat and dog food brand that has food completely made of bug protein. The reason behind this has to do with our environment – the production of their pet food uses fewer precious resources – less agricultural space and water, and there is less greenhouse gas production in the creation of this type of food, when compared to meat-based products. Their foods do not have any growth hormones or antibiotics either. As most of their make-up is made from bugs, there food is also grain free. It’s a great pet food brand if your cat has allergies or is intolerant to anything, as this food is made quite differently.

Hello Kitty Afternoon Tea | Review

When it comes to finding activities to do while stuck in side, there have been so many new delivery services that have provided not only fun activities but also amazing foods! Dann and I have date nights each week and are always on the look out for something new to do. When the Artbox Cafe was open, we visited there, checking out all of the cute menus and characters that were featured – so when we saw Cutter & Squidge had partnered with Hello Kitty to create an afternoon tea experience at home, we wanted to try one out!

When you order this box, as it contains food, you are able to pick the delivery date you want to eat the meal on, which is always a plus. Inside our Hello Kitty afternoon tea, we got a menu of everything, 4 heart-shaped scones, a pot of strawberry jam, 2 pots of clotted cream, 2 large ruby chocolate blondies, 2 chocolate caramel cakes, a bag of loose leaf peach and cream tea and a limited edition Hello Kitty x Cutter & Squidge tea towel. All of this is in an adorable Hello Kitty box!

Vegan Scones (Cooking with Kids) | Recipe

As vegan food is particularly big during the month of January, I dug out the book Cooking with Kids, which I got last year during it’s January launch in London. I didn’t have time to play around with the book then, but now that we seem to have tons of time on our hands, I dug it out! Cooking with Kids is a great book in the way that it is written – all of these recipes are easy to follow and you could probably hand them to a teenager for them to do themselves. Without having vegan in the title, all of the recipes are actually vegan, just by default, but the book itself is just designed to be one that you can use to get you and your family into the kitchen.

Ouzo Sour | Vegan Cocktail Recipe

[Ad- gifted product] You may have guessed, from looking around our site, that we do love a good drink! Dann has reviewed a bunch of beers and we are known to share recipes for cocktails! When we started using OGGS Aquafaba to replace eggs in some of our favorite foods, we figured it would be fun to make a drink using these as the foam-y, egg white replacement! Each container of Aquafaba contains about four eggs worth of fluid, which is great for baking, cooking and mixing drinks! OGGS has their own list of recipes, which can be found on their site, and we took a spin at their Pisco Sour, but were out of Pisco and went for a nice Ouzo instead.
