American Classics at Pinecrest Diner

Going to the Pinecrest Diner while in San Francisco for work, is something that basically every person in the area, going to GDC, does. The diner is open 24 hours, making it perfect for the first day you wake up, jet lagged, wanting both breakfast and lunch items all at once. It reminds me of everything that I love about America. Customising meals, unlimited refills on drinks, and a very simplistic looking place that has everything you want in it. Dann and I went right after we woke up, around 7:30 am local time (2:30 pm in England), so we were both rather hungry.

Seeing it all in Spy Guy Fantasy

[Ad- gifted products] I feel like Spy Guy Fantasy is the perfect version of Spy Guy for our family. We took this tabletop game to our bi-weekly Geek Retreat board game night, where we spread it out onto the table. Amelia and Robin commented on how our board games have been on the longer side physically lately, taking up more and more of the table. This game was another that took up a big spread, with each of us sitting around it.

A Birthday Dinner at Burger and Lobster Restaurant

Dann and I went to our friend Oscar’s Birthday Party at the restaurant Burger and Lobster. Dann and I aren’t fans of burgers or lobster, and with a name like this, we weren’t really sure what we were going to eat! Excited to celebrate with our friend, however, we headed there. It was actually an extremely busy day for us, so we arrived about five minutes late. There are a few different locations, so when I entered the one we were meant to be at and the manager said we were at the wrong place, that we needed to take a train, I really thought I had messed up, until he saw I was actually getting flustered and said he was kidding, offering to get us a drink. This manager had a lot of personality!

Project 365 – April

As a part of Project 365, I have a photo and little diary entry from every single day of the month of April. Some bloggers are posting theirs weekly, others monthly, but all of them are a little look into every day of their lives. April, for me, saw three different countries, Easter break, lovely weather, and lots of staples like Pokemon Go and board games. It was Robin’s birthday in April as well, which is always a fun celebration. Check out the bottom of this post to see some of the other bloggers taking part in this project as well.

Cartoon Art Museum – Lots of Comics

Dann and I headed over to the Cartoon Art Museum, which is primarily focused on comics and the birth of comic books. It almost feels more like a small collection than a full museum, but they’ve got a mix of classic comics, comic notes, and featured artists who are local and new. Along with this collection, there are a few little fun facts and bits of history, so you could learn a lot there.
