Especially if it’s your first time living in a dorm, starting college is an exciting time. Living away from home, making new friends, and being independent may be an exhilarating and unsettling prospect. This guide will let you know what to anticipate from freshman dorm living at university if you’re getting ready to start your new experience in the UK.
I had personally not been to the Wellcome Collection in London, which is a free museum and library that focuses a lot on health! There are a bunch of exhibitions, collections, talks, and different events going on, which all aim at supporting science that solves the urgent health challenges people are facing. I have a friend who’s very much interested in health and healthcare, and visits the Wellcome Collection from time to time. She took me to see the Jason and the Adventure of 254 time limited exhibition!
[Ad- gifted experience] I feel like the last stretch of school is so busy! Being working parents, most of our lives are actually quite busy between school runs, meetings at work, and after school clubs we just always have a lot going on. That’s why I was simply delighted to have a weekend away at Ardencote Manor Hotel and Spa! We actually went Sunday to Monday, so the two quietest days at the Spa, to really enjoy some relaxing, peaceful time together.
Ardencote Manor Hotel has a bunch of different packages to fit how you want to enjoy your stay. We chose a package with a morning spa session, afternoon treatment, lunch, dinner, hotel stay and breakfast the next morning, to really get the most out of our time away. Having the option to include a few set menu meals is quite fun, as you really don’t need to worry about finding a place to eat nearby and everything feels completely booked for you!
After spend a lot of last spring and summer creating the ideal back garden for our household, this year we just have to maintain it really! There are a few small tasks that we want to do this year, primarily around taming our blackberry bush and possibly getting rid of a stump or two. However, our main thing this year is just enjoying what we created last year. We have moved our little vegetable patch into a spot that gets slightly more light and started checking on our blooms in our garden.
This week, we brought back some summertime favorites and tired some new twists on old favorites too. We eat a lot of tacos and chicken burgers, but dived into two new ways to make them! We also had some time this week for both Amelia and Kai to help make dinner, as both of them asked, which is always a fun experience. Taking the time to teach your children to cook delicious food, especially at their age, is such an important task and one I find a lot of joy in doing!
