Autumn Sightings – a collection of Fall pictures

Autumn is a really fun time of year – nature changes, bringing together warm colored leaves, lovely shades of red and orange, and a bunch of new fruits and vegetables that are ripe and growing. When I think of autumn, I think of the leaves – pile sand piles of leaves, crunching under your feet. This had me wondering what others thought of and could find around them that really represented autumn. I have actually gone ahead and asked a bunch of other bloggers to share an image they took that reminds them of Autumn, and to share a bit about them, to see what everyone has seen this autumn.

The picture I choose was all of our feet in the autumn leaves. There is something amazing, as I said, about autumn leaves. We have shared a lot of photos over Blogtober of all of us doing Autumn activities like pumpkin picking and haunted trails, but there hasn’t been a celebration of crunchy rings before. which is why I choose it.

“Autumn is my favourite season of the year. I love the cooler days, so we can enjoy getting out into the countryside without being plagued by sunstroke and insects! I love the crispy crunchy leaves, so many stunning shades of autumnal colours. I took this shot of my daughter at our local woods, having a great time in the newly fallen leaves.” – Vikki, Family Travel with Ellie

“Autumn is my favourite time of the year as I adore the crisp, bright days, the cosy nights and the beautiful colours in nature. This photo reminds me of all of those things; mild, sunny days when you can cosy up under a blanket and take in the fresh air and changes occurring around you. The falling leaves and the brown, rust and orange tones. So good for the soul!” – Melanie Varey, Best Things to do in Cambridge

“Autumn time means our dear little pear tree finally offers ripe fruit! It is so rewarding and satisfying picking your own, hometown fruit. I can then make delicious pies and crumbles , worthy of Autumn desserts!” – Vikki, Best Lodges with Hot Tubs

“I ate at a cafe that was located in an old watermill. The cafe was so cozy, and the surrounding area was beautiful as well. One of my favorite things about Autumn is the changing color of the leaves, and I had a lovely time walking around the area and then enjoying a delicious brunch with my family.” – Karalee, Tales of Belle

“These images remind me of Autumn because of the colours, oranges and browns! We went pumpkin picking which is an October/Autumn activity. It was lovely to get wrapped up and get some fresh air out in the cool crisp wind!” – Alice, At Home with Alice

“This is my home, Ashburnham Place in East Sussex and these are the stunning Cedar of Lebanon trees, they are evergreen but I love to see the golden light of the late afternoon and the backdrop of the Autumn colours across the lake. This view will forever remind me of the glory of creation in Autumn.” – Michelle, Mummy from the Heart

“You know it’s autumn the minute you start seeing pumpkins! I love all the orange hues that autumn brings with it and nothing does that more than a big pumpkin patch. This photo of my 2 kids, Elian and Effie has highlighted that we are well and truly in the autumn season.” – Chantele, Two Hearts One Roof

“Autumn is a beautiful time of the year with its burgundy and rust colors and cool breeze. It’s my favorite season of the year though I don’t experience it often because I live in a tropical country. This particular photo was taken at the start of autumn in South Korea, and during one of my favorite trips.” – Izzy, Izzy Matias. Photo Credit, Kelsey Jurado

“We live in an old farm worker’s cottage in rural East Yorkshire.  To get to our house, we need to drive down a private , tree-lined drive belonging to the old Manor House.  It’s a beautiful drive, has snowdrops in the winter, daffodils in spring, and in the Autumn the trees turn a lovely golden brown.  I love it as you can really get a sense of the seasons changing.  Plus, when the children were little, we collected conkers here!” – Nikki, Fruit Picking Farms

This post is apart of our Blogtober series, all with a Halloween or Autumn theme.

Some absolutely lovely images which really feel like Autumn. I need to get out and go for a few more walks as I’ve not seen the fallen leaves etc yet x
