[Ad – Gifted Products] We often play games that are at least four player, but from time to time, it’s nice to have a little two player game! One early morning during the summer holidays, Robin had woken up far before everyone else. So, we decided to play Battle Flips. This is a very simple two-player word game that feels extremely well designed.

First, you need to pick out a category, then you can write the word on your board. These words need to be longer than two letters, but need to fit on your board. Then, you close the doors, set up your board, and start the game. One player needs to pick a letter, which are shown on the back of the category board. If they have the letter in their word, they need to reveal it, but if the other player has it they also need to reveal it. If you are correct in your guess, you can take one more turn guessing a letter.

This gameplay continues, crossing off letters and opening doors, until players start guessing. In Battle Flips, there is a little counter up to three on the bottom of the flip board, which shows how many guesses you have for the complete word. It’s a simple game, but all of the little details make it feel really well made. I do also love how easy the boards are to break down and that they have a travel bag, making this perfect for traveling on holiday or even going to places like the park. Robin and I had a fun morning guessing each other’s words, and when Amelia got downstairs, she wanted to play so Robin continued playing with her. Both of them very much enjoyed it – especially with how simple the game is to play.

It is great to have little, simple games like this to play. We have discovered how much our teens actually enjoy things like this whilst out at our local games cafe.
I do love family games, and this looks like a great fun game to play at home or if out and about
A quick, easy, intuitive game is awlays the best for game night, especially when it’s made for two peple to go head-to-head. I really like this!
This seems like a fun, high energy game. I really like that is seems good for kids and adults. Great family game night addition.
I super love to play this sort of board game with my nephew. I love how engaging and fun they are. I can’t wait to get battle flips, the gameplay is awesome.
I love word games. This sounds like a fun one! It is nice to see the kids using their minds and not using digital devices. I would like to check this one out.
This sounds like a fun family game! I like head-to-head games like this!
This definitely screams holiday game to me as it’s quick, easy and quite small. Although I’m not usually all that great with games like this haha x
This looks like so much fun! We used to play something similar when we were kids, and we always had a great time. It’s such a simple game, but it never gets boring!
