[Ad- gifted experience] We go to Cammas Hall quite a few times a year, as it’s our local farm! We’ve picked cherries, walked the Easter trail, and of course have had pumpkin picking previously. So, we were all excited to go along again this year. Kai had actually just got his Halloween costume, so he wanted to wear it to the pumpkin patch. This was really surprising, due to him being a teenager, but he’s been so happy lately.

Cammas Hall has you enter through the not-so-spooky tunnel, so that you can have a grand entrance to where their pumpkins are. This not so spooky tunnel started off not Halloween themed, which I found to be so odd! It was more 90s, retro vibes with a DJ booth and a bunch of different retro toys that were on shelves as well. This then went into a more neon painted walk, with some references to scary movies, but mainly just references to movies in general, like the Pink Panther. These were really cute to see and the walk didn’t feel that scary at all.

Towards the end of the not so spooky walk, we ended up running into a bunch of actors, in various Halloween themed rooms. A scientist spoke to us and encouraged Kai to sit in the electrical chair. Beetle Juice complimented how we all looked and asked for some hair donations (not that he needed it!), and all three of the witches from Hocus Pocus asked Robin for her toes! We also posed for pictures with a lady from Ghost Busters before the end of the family friendly tunnel. You can then decided to go out the Scaredy Cat door or continue to the spooky side!

I do think that there are sometimes actors in the spooky side – or at least there were spots for them – which very much made this feel like someone is going to jump out at you! I really liked how long the spooky side was at Cammas Hall, and there were a lot of really creepy and spooky rooms – full of saws, with chains down them, some that were themed around clowns. There was also a lot of blood everywhere – it was fantastic. We then ended right at the front of the pumpkin area. This section isn’t a live pumpkin patch, but instead is a bunch of pumpkins organised by type. There is a little stage here as well, where some of the shows for younger ones take place.

There is a giant pumpkin volcano, which is fun to walk through, and The Scream made of pumpkins which Robin wanted to take pictures in front of. When we went through the volcano, we ended up where the end of the not-so-spooky walk would have spit us out, which has a bunch of different backdrops for photos! There is also a giant spinning wheel so that you can find out your Halloween name, and some diggers that you can pay to use. There is also a slingshot game and a tricycle race around a track. It’s a cute set up, with lots of space.

We did get some themed hot chocolates at Cammas Hall – they have a special one this year with cinnamon buns, which is what Kai and Dann got, along with a Halloween one with pumpkin marshmallows that Robin got. Amelia got themed ice cream – they have such bright colors with tons of different toppings that all feel quite spooky. They do sell a bunch of different Halloween items too, in their little farm stand, which is great to browse. It’s worth noting that Cammas Hall does have a corn maze, for an additional fee, but we decided to skip out this year as the corn itself was short (due to the drought) so we could see over it.
You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!
