Ben 10 is an American TV series and franchise produced by Cartoon Network, where a boy named Ben has got ahold of a strange watch. This piece of alien technology, called the Omnitrix, has the DNA of different aliens in it, allowing Ben to transform into these aliens. Using this device, he is able to take on evil monsters, destroying them by using the best aliens for the job. We got our hands on a few of the new Ben 10 toys just in time for the Ben 10 Movie – Ben 10 vs. the Universe: The Movie!

Deluxe Omnitrix Creator Set

What more can a child want then their own alien-transforming watch? The Deluxe Omnitrix Creator Set is a pretty neat toy – you can transform the bracelet to look however you’d like, using a bunch of different pieces. There are green and red tubes that can be pushed into holes on the watch – some of these holes light up, bringing light through the translucent pieces. They look pretty cool. Along with having Ben’s classic green colour options, there is the option to copy Kevin’s evil Omnitrix, using red, or make a combination of both. When you snap the “watch face” round piece into place on the bracelet, the whole design will start lighting up and making sounds. It’s a neat feature and Kai had a lot of fun playing around with different designs and having it light up. There are apparently over 1000 different combinations for this bracelet, and with the parts being so easy to slot in and use, it’s perfect for those who really want to pretend to be Ben 10. Due to the number of combinations, there’s also a degree of construction toy to it.

Ben 10 Space Armor Ben & Space Armor Heatblast

Along with the Omnitrix, we received the Ben 10 Space Armor Ben action figure, which is a figure of Ben himself, all decked out to go to outer space. His mask moves up to reveal the intense look on his face. This action figure has a lot of joints , meaning not only do his legs move but his knees move too, as do his elbows and arms. You can really have him battling out with this! The Space Armor Heatblast enemy that also came features detachable wings, a really large gun-like armour, and lots of joints as well. In this series, there is also a Heatblast Armor version of this enemy.

All of these toys are great for those who are fans of the series, especially if they have just watched the new movie and are pumped about what Ben 10 will take on next. The Deluxe Omnitrix Creator Set is perfect for playing pretend and the action figures are great for acting out battle scenes in the family room.
