Finding the perfect sentimental jewellery

When it comes to getting someone jewellery, or even getting jewellery for yourself, there are so many options out there! I tend to wear more minimalistic jewellery, but often look for pieces that can be personalised, and made into something more sentimental. Having accessories and jewellery that can remind you of people or places can be really meaningful and create statement pieces that can bring about conversation.

I feel like locket necklaces are one of the oldest forms of personalised and sentimental jewellery people think of. There are plenty of different types of lockets out there, and I quite love this compass shaped locket that has a small but cute look. Inside lockets, you can put a tiny picture of your loved ones. I opted for two of my favorite people, Robin and Dann to be inside my locket. This is a fairly easy process, as the picture is ordered along with your locket, and it comes inside of the locket. If you want to change pictures, this brand actually provides a service where you can get new ones printed free, at the right size, and mailed out to you. You can then change the picture out with a pair of tweezers. This is really helpful and an easy way to keep your sentimental jewellery updated!

Hidden Engravements

Now a days, many brands like Trendhim, have a variety of different options when it comes to engraving your jewellery. If you are looking for something more masculine, this is where to find it. I got Dann this lovely watch, that had the entire back of the watch head itself engraved, to remind him how much I love him. This sort of little message that can be signed and engraved in the back of bigger pieces can be really meaningful, and are great for specific dates or events in the life of the person who will be wearing the accessory!

Exterior Personalization

Other forms of jewellery actually have the engravement or personalization as a main aspect in the design. The brand Less Ordinary focuses on ethical jewellery, which have a few different options when it comes to making jewellery sentimental. You can shop their collection of handwriting jewellery, which has simple hand-written messages carved into them, or go with coordinates like we have. Nobody will really know the location of the coordinates just by looking at them, but the person wearing the item will know about that special place and why it is meaningful to them. It’s an interesting way to show off something meaningful as well.

When it comes to getting sentimental jewellery, you often can’t go wrong, but it is good to be aware of the different styles and options that you have, so you can pick something truly meaningful.
