I’ve been attending BlogOn events since 2021, when I found out about them, even writing up a guide on what to bring to Blogger events. Incase you didn’t know, BlogOn Kids is a unique blogger event where a bunch of children’s brands are brought into one venue, to show off their latest products. Unlike events like Toy Fair, children are encouraged to play with these toys and there are a bunch of activities set up for them, so that you can create content there while also networking with the marketing team members of these brands. You can get hands on and see if your child likes the various brands, which is always a fantastic experience.
Amelia and Robin are always pumped for BlogOn Kids, primarily because of all of the cool toys. Even though Amelia has entered her teenage chapter in her life, she still is interested in playing and in new stuff to check out. Kai, who is also a teenager, on the other hand isn’t as excited, but BlogOn Kids does have a fantastic retro video game section, which I honestly feel is for these older kids, so him and Dann spent a lot of time in this area this year. He did say he enjoyed the event and was glad he went along, so that’s always good! He also won a Deddy Bear from the claw machine, which I think helped in his enjoyment.
So Many Brands
Robin, Amelia and I tackle BlogOn Kids room by room. Inside the venue this year, there was plenty of room for people to walk around and interact, as brands were in long rooms. These rooms often had more than one brand in them but some of the bigger brands did have their own rooms. We particularly enjoyed Marvin’s Magic room, which had a magician doing tons of tricks that Robin was captivated by. Another huge highlight was the Craft Buddy room, which had little craft stickers to make and a design your own buddy contest. We ended up doing both activities.
There was an entire room dedicated to toddler’s first time using technology, which seemed very modern and useful in this day and age, as well as an area with tons of lunch box items, that I found to be very fun. Amelia played with some slime and Robin ended up making a 3D sticker that she quite enjoyed. We also participated in some of the timed activities like the Pati-school decorating (though they really took ages to dry and weren’t dry the next day, so not the best to take home) and the t-shirt making, which both kids absolutely loved. Kai as previously mentioned really liked the games room and the Deddy Bears room, but we also enjoyed walking around the Toy Awards.
Toy Awards at BlogOn Kids
The BlogOn Kids Toy Awards is a whole thing in itself. I didn’t end up getting any pictures of the Toy Awards as we took our jobs of voting on the best toys in each category very seriously. You see, many of the brands at BlogOn Kids are entered into the toy awards, along with a bunch of brands that aren’t currently showcasing there. These toys are all put on display and members of the event can vote on the ones they think should win each category. All of the toys that are showcased become apart of the BlogOn Kids Raffle, where people can purchase raffle tickets and the money raised goes to charity. It’s a really fun part of the event and it’s a great way to see a bunch of toys!
There is always a lot to see and do at BlogOn Kids and the idea that the children can actually try out the toys there and then is so much fun! Meeting with other bloggers and creating content can all be done in one place as well. There was a bigger focus from the brands on influencers, instead of traditional bloggers, which is always interesting to hear about. We also got the famous BlogOn Kids goodie bags (which are divided by age) that have a bunch of different samples from all of the brands and more. We are always excited for BlogOn events and are happy to have attended again this year.
You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!
