Cammy & 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray ZL1 Brings Back Memories

*AD – the item in this review was gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

Just recently, we went to an arcade with our children for Dann’s Birthday, where Robin absolutely smashed Street Fighter! It’s a classic, that I feel like every gamer remembers playing! It’s one of those games that have been around for so long and appear in so many different arcades, that it’s almost impossibly you’ve not played. I remember playing Street Fighter with my dad, where I always picked one of the female characters to represent myself. Jada has released a new wave of 6 inch figures along with their 1:24 scale vehicles, that tip-toe the line between collectors item and toy.

We’ve got our hands on the Cammy figure and her green Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which are both in packaging containing the retro Street Fighter background. As previously mentioned, this item could be a collectors item, displayed in a case or could make for a good toy for teens who are fans of Street Fighter and have previously played it with their parents. The vehicle is metal, with amazing detail throughout it. The doors open, the hood opens, you can look inside at the engine itself. Everything feels heavy and expensive, if that makes sense, making it seem like a good display piece. The details on the car are stunning too – it’s just so well made that even playing with it won’t wear down the paint or tyre details.

The little Cammy figure herself has great detail as well, with the braids being very visible, full of movement and her expression on her face showing how serious she is about kicking ass. She’s got great muscle details too, which is good to see. The figure stands well, being made of metal also, so it’s perfect for displaying. Both the figure and the car do come well packaged, needing a metal screwdriver to actually get them out of the box! Kai was very impressed with the vehicle and figure – and it feels perfect for his age range!

This new Street Fighter line is ideal for those who want display items and those who want to share a core childhood memory with their children. It’s clear by the quality and attention to detail that Jada is paying homage to such a timeless classic game.
