Spooky Cupcake Class with Sweet Designs by Jennie

Amelia has been so excited for the next cupcake class! We both go together, as daughter-mother time, each month. She picked the Spooky Cupcake Class for October, which felt very fitting and had some fantastic designs! Unlike the previous cupcake classes we have attended so far, these cupcakes all felt completely different in design. What I mean by that is, often, there are two cupcakes that are featured and unique, as well as two sets of two that are similar as sort of side cupcakes. Sweet Designs by Jennie releases her cupcake classes each month, with tons of new ones to choose from.

Night Out at Halloween at Kew Gardens

Our family absolutely loves Light Walks at Christmastime and have done a bunch of events at Kew Gardens previously, so when I saw Halloween at Kew Gardens, I was pumped to see if the light walk feel could be translated to the Halloween concept. I didn’t want to spoil exactly what it was, so I just booked up tickets and parking, and then waited for the date to come around!

Picking Pumpkins at Cammas Hall

We go to Cammas Hall every year and really enjoy their selection of pumpkins. They have an impressive set up of pumpkins and are always adding new features to their pumpkin patch. This year, highlights include a spooky and not-so-spooky walk, a bunch of Pumpkin picture areas, tons of different pumpkins, actors dressed up walking around, and a corn maze.

A Moonless Night Film – Captivating Art

[Ad- gifted experience] Claire and I went to the Rich Mix to experience A Moonless Night, the first film from Snowapple Collective. Born from some poems written during COVID, a Moonless Night is more of a work of art showcased through the medium of film then a film created for the cinema. The creators of this piece worked from some poems that were written by one of them, about the concept of not being able to sleep. Being stuck in the madness of a moonless night, one that never ends.

Pumpkin Picking at Hatter’s Farm

We’ve been going to Hatter’s Farm every year for quite a few years now. Each year, they seem to get bigger and better than the last! They are known for their unique Pumpkin Cannon, that allows people to launch cannons at giant cut out board, which always feels very exciting. They also have a large pumpkin patch, a spook walk, face painting, tons of photo areas, a corn maze and actors walking around all dressed up. We actually went to Hatter’s Farm twice this year, as the first day we went we arrived a bit later than expected due to some plans shifting, so we didn’t end up getting to do everything that we wanted to do, so we decided to come back on a secondary day.
