Planet Eat – Netflix for Food Videos | Review

[Ad- gifted product] We have subscriptions to most online, video watching platforms. I watch Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Huey – so switching between these different platforms is something we’ve always done. When I heard about Planet Eat, a new food TV subscription platform, I was excited to try their free month of viewing! I watch a lot of food programs and miss Food Network – a TV channel in America, so I was hoping this would replace my craving for some amazing food TV.

Planet Eat actually has a lot of shows already, despite being quite new to the market, however most of these shows are only 10 to 15 minutes long, making them into mini-videos. Many of them are recipes, tutorials and master classes, which can really help if you don’t like reading recipes or want to learn new skills when it comes to being in the kitchen. Each episode also has a trailer video you can watch to get a better feel of the show. I found myself getting the most out of master classes and really enjoyed the detailed programs on taking pictures and telling a story through food, but I felt the videos could be bulked out with the presenter actually taking pictures and showing them to us, instead of talking so much about equipment or just showing images taken earlier, instead of the entire process of setting them up.

How to take care of your hardwood flooring

When it comes to getting hardwood flooring put into your home, once it is installed, you’ll want to keep your floor in the best condition possible so that your floor can last as long as you live in your home. There are a lot of little quirks when it comes to maintaining your hardwood flooring that you just might not be aware of or might not think about as it’s different from cleaning other floors in your home. I am going to be sharing my top tips on keeping your floor clean and in-tact.

Liquid is not your friend

Anytime there is a spill on your hardwood flooring, you’ll want to wipe it up as soon as possible. Letting liquid soak into your flooring can do damage over time, even if your flooring has an oil or lacquer on it. You might think, but what about mopping? You shouldn’t be mopping your wooden floor. You should sweep away any dirt and dust, before wiping marks or stains away with a microfiber cloth and possible a bit of floor cleaner if you have something tough to get out. Using a mop can allow excessive amounts of liquid to seep into your floor, which just isn’t good.

28-50 Wine Bar & Kitchen Fondue Festival | Review

Both Dann and Jupiter went to a Fondue Festival at the 28-50 Wine Bar & Kitchen, who do yearly Fondue Festivals in London. These take place each Tuesday through February, March and April. We’re not sure if Festival makes a lot of sense in this use, as it’s not really a Festival and more of a sit down dinner but only there for a limited amount of time. Dann really wanted to go, so we both grabbed up some tickets and figured we’d see what happens. Neither of us had been to 28-50 Wine Bar & Kitchen, nor had we had Fondue before, so it was an interesting time.

The first thing worth noting is that you are going to need to go to the Fondue Festival with a friend, as it’s a minimum of two people per fondue. The price is set at £34.95 per person, stacking as you add more people to it. The festival tickets include a set menu – we weren’t even shown a normal menu – which you get to eat from. The venue itself is very upscale, we were quite under dressed, and is a dark and moody place.
