[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to candles, our living rooms seems to have a mix. From the scents of peach to pumpkin apple, candles seem to be a favorite around here. I even got a candle advent calendar this year for Christmas, to try out all the different scents. When Sassy Shop Wax Melts reached out about their wax melts, I was instantly interested in getting some new scents into our living room. Wax melts actually last longer than candles, so I grabbed an electric wax melt warmer from Amazon and picked out two relaxing scents.
We are big fans of light based art. Dann loves walking around, Jupiter loves looking at art, so Lightopia seemed like a great event to attend, especially after the amount of fun we had at Chihuly exhibition and the Ashford Illuminations. Lightopia takes place each year at the Chiswick House in London, as well as several other locations around England. This year, this is running from January 22nd until March 1st, giving everyone plenty of time to stop by!
We went to Lightopia with Claire (who wrote up her own review) and Staurt as a double date. We all purchased tickets a while back, and they were a bit strange to purchase. The tickets themselves have the same opening time, but you’ll end up needing to pick a preferred arrival time, which doesn’t actually get placed on your ticket. We didn’t get the email stating our preferred time, so we went at opening, which was listed on our ticket. We were still let in and nobody pointed out that we were an hour early. Anyway, onto the exhibition.
Before you even make it to ticket check, you’ll walk down a large path of flowers and numbers, making your way closer and closer to the exhibition. Once we got through tickets, we started down the path. Like the Chihuly exhibitions, lights dotted the path moving you from each major point to another. There was a lot to see, but surprisingly, there were also a lot of interactive areas designed for children and adults alike. Everything also had music, with quite a few exhibitions that actually were timed to the music that was playing. The flowers, butterflies, humans, all looked like they were made of wire and tissue paper, but clearly it was made of fabric which had lights under it. A few exhibitions stood out above the others.
[Ad- gifted product] Kai, (my eldest child) is currently doing some awesome homework projects all about space and the solar system, and he has been super pumped about it. We’ve enjoyed doing many of these projects with him and watching him learn through his work. When LookLearn reached out with their line of sleek posters which aims to help children learn through seeing fun, stylish educational posters that would look great in their bedroom or in any room of the house, really.
The creator of LookLearn was inspired by decorating his daughters’ bedrooms, where he searched for educational posters that would look nice within the room. As he had been in the design business for over twenty years, he found that the overcrowded, full of colour, almost childish posters wouldn’t do, so he went on to design his own covering a bunch of different topics like colour, shape, the human skeleton, multiplication and of course, space.
[Ad- gifted product] As someone with a larger body, finding bras that are comfortable and sexy is sometimes a challenge. Often you end up sacrificing the look of your bras for comfort or paying silly amounts of money for something that looks good and feels great. Some people find trying on bras really uncomfortable, and with the amount of online stores, it’s easy to just order something and hope it’s up to the quality and standard you’d like. When Tutti Rouge reached out looking for people to review their lingerie, I was excited to try out some new clothing!
I ended up picking out a bralette set in yellow, which featured a full figured like myself as a model, as well as a simple creme bra. These undergarments came in a cute bag, quickly and were quite cheaply priced, considering the quality of the material and cut. The website, when it came to navigation, was a bit confusing. On one page, you can select the size that you want to purchase, but often that page that you are sent too doesn’t show all of the bras you could pick from. The bralette set that I picked doesn’t actually show up in a set size on the site, as it is a bralette, so the item can cover across three different cup sizes. This means that it does not appear in any of the three categories, which is a shame as some sizes seem like there is little to nothing to choose form, so if you want more choices, it’s better to start looking through undergarments you like.
After our first trip to Jurassic Falls Adventure Golf, the children have been itching to see the other themed golf parks around the area. The next one we took on was Pirate Cove. Pirate Cover Adventure Golf has a theme of, you guessed it, pirates and is dotted around with pirate facts and information. Jupiter really loves pirates, golf, and new golf courses, so we went along on a slightly soggy day to enjoy a bit of outdoor time before winter really hit.
Pirate Cover Adventure Golf was different from the previous golf experiences; first off, it had two different courses in it’s area. One, called Smugglers, was much more challenging while Pirate was an easier course. We went along the Pirate course, dipping into Smugglers when we saw a particularly cool looking hole that we couldn’t help but jump too. As we went towards the end of October, the place didn’t have many people there, and this was pretty easy to do (not to mention fun).
