When it comes to vibrant, well spiced Thai food, Giggling Squid is a perfect place to eat. We entered the Giggling Squid and were in love with the décor. The entire place is so beautiful, with bench seating that has flowers hanging from them, looking so adorable. Pictures on the walls of hand-drawn squids, everything is so beautifully themed. And the smell of food wafting through the restaurant is absolutely mouth watering. Dann and I were really excited to dig into some delicious food – and totally ordered way too much! Giggling Squid has a limited time, Summer Menu which you can enjoy until September 4th. We got some dishes from that menu and some dishes from their regular menu as well.

We love exploring new places to eat, and when it comes to food, we are a huge fan of Japanese styled food, especially when there are plenty of different small plates to try out. A new restaurant opened up in Epping, called Yakimono Robata, which describes itself as Japanese Tapas. When we saw Yakimono Robata opening up, in a town that we often drive through, we had to stop in and see if it was any good!

We ended up getting the Premium Tasting Menu, which is 80£ for two. This contains a bunch of courses that come when they are ready, covering different fish, vegetables, and meats. We ended up swapping one dish out, which they were happy to do for us, and had a great time eating everything there. This tasting menu is split between us both, with tasting plates in front of us!

Lan Kwai Fong were offering a bottomless dim sum and cocktails, which we were just not going to miss. With a limit of 90 minutes, we both filled our stomachs and enjoyed our drinks, getting a large selection of the food offered there. Lan Kwai Fong has plenty of other deals and offers, so keep an eye out on their website to find the best deals for what you want to get!

You know when you are just craving ramen, and you just want to eat some right then and there. Normally, when Dann and I go to Wagamamas, we order a bunch of little bites and split them, as you might notice from most of the places we go, but this time we wanted to get some tasty, tasty ramen! We both got a couple of small items, different ramens and a dessert. Wagamamas is an interesting restaurant, as everything just comes when it’s ready, but the food is always lovely.

For my birthday last year, I wanted to go out to one of my favourite restaurants; Wahaca. It’s been some time since I’ve been, due to the whole lockdown situation and the lack of events in London, so it felt like a great time to journey into the city and try some tacos and street food with my family. My kids have actually never been to Wahaca, so it was very lovely to get to show them a restaurant that I have enjoyed. When Jupiter and I go to Wahaca, we normally order a bunch of small items from their menu and split them, so that’s what we did here.
