[Ad- gifted experience] We all really love owls! Our children’s school does photos with owls, Dann has done an owl walk, and all three of our children have spent a lot of time asking about owls and if we can have owls. We were overjoyed to hear that we could get close to and learn about a few different types of owls at Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation!
In our hopes to make the most of the spooky, Halloween vibe that’s in the air, we have been looking for new local festivals to attend, and came across Land of the Dead! Land of the Dead is a festival that has a few different aspects to it; a pumpkin patch, a circus, few rides, food stands and some decorated houses that feel like a little village to explore. We had never been before and didn’t really know what to expect, so were happy to explore!
We go to Legoland often and have for several years. Though we have never gone to Legoland for any of their special events before, we did end up hopping along, by mistake, for one of their 90th anniversary events and got to make some cool Lego designs that then allowed us to collect pop badges. These badges were really cool, and hung on our children’s wall, reminding them about Legoland and all of our adventures.
So, we went back for the Brick or Treat event at Legoland, which saw the park transformed into a Halloween wonderland, full of decorations and new spooks. We were actually able to see the vast majority of the Halloween things; taking pictures with the various spooky characters like Lord Drack, finding giant Lego heads, and riding our favourite rides. There are also a large number of limited time events around the park that we, of course, checked out.
We went on holiday to Great Yarmouth over the summer and had a fantastic time! There is so much to do, so many beaches to enjoy, and lots of really delicious places to eat. After all of our exploring, seeing local sites, and hanging out – I have picked the top three places that we all had a really fun time at in Great Yarmouth, as a family! These places are fun for all ages and are stand outs from our trip that we all still talk about! If you are ever looking for more places to visit in Great Yarmouth, check out their Facebook page.
Hatter’s Farm is a local pumpkin patch that has the best prices when it comes to pre-booking in Essex! We went along last year and had to go again this year in our pumpkin adventures, as it’s known to have a large variety of squash, and we were looking for some pretty specific produce to eat up. Hatter’s Farm does have a lot of different and unique aspects to their farm, which our children really enjoy!
