Date Night at the Confetti Flower Field at Hatter’s Farm

Dann and I have been to Hatter’s Farm several times, particularly at Halloween, with our three children. It’s always decked up and very well presented, but now they offer a summertime Confetti Flower Field, filled with vibrant blooms that you can walk around and explore. As we both really enjoyed taking pictures of flowers and hanging out in flower fields, and have explored all of our local lavender fields, we booked up their Adult’s Only night to see this field at sunset.

I have never been to a confetti flower field nor have I seen confetti flowers, so I was pretty pumped to be going to see a new flower. These flower fields are light purple, dark purple, shades of pink and shades of white, making for some very beautiful fields! When I entered Hatter’s Farm, they have their big, almost wooden entrance way where they check your tickets and explain where to go. They did have their massive corn maze, but that’s something we only really do with the kids, so we went straight to the confetti flower field.

This field is quite big and during the Adult Only night, the place wasn’t very busy at all. Everyone was walking around and taking in all the flowers! We saw some buzzing bees hanging out on the flowers as well as staff picking flowers for their little flower shop. They do not allow pick your own at this event, which to be honest, I am quite glad about. We’ve gone to pick your own flower fields previously and have found that too many of them have been picked to really get to walk through the field. There are a few photo set pieces along the edges including Hatter’s Farm’s huge boot, which is always out at Halloween, a buzzing bee sign and some hearts! These additions are quite cute and everything has new, cute signage that really match the vibe of the place.

Dann and I walked around the field as the sun set, taking some pictures on our cameras and hanging out. There was a lot of space to spread out throughout the field. Once the sun had dipped, we went towards the food trucks! There were only one food truck, one bar, one coffee truck and an ice cream truck set up, which felt a little light from what we were expecting. The bar had a fantastic mango and dragon fruit drink that I quite enjoyed. Dann got himself a classic Pims as well! The food truck on the adult only night actually had run out of most of it’s food, so we ended up not getting dinner, though there were some people with picnics set up. There is seating both covered and uncovered, along with a few areas for children that I am sure they use during the day (a mini hay maze and a hay bail mountain).

We did check out the shop at the confetti flower field, which had a bunch of dried flower petals in ornaments and bags, as well as freshly picked bouquets and some locally made honey. We could see them making the bundles of flowers and could ask for the variations of the flowers that we wanted, so we got a very tall bundle of flowers with each color in them! The staff were so nice and accommodating, and the flowers have looked fantastic next to my desk for the last few days. We would very much go back and enjoy some time together, in a field of beautiful blooms.

You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!

This is something I would love to do. We have a lavender field near by which we like to visit, but this really does look very pretty and you can get so many lovely photos, especially near sunset!

I agree, I’d rather not have them able to be picked. There’s something magical about walking through a lot of flowers at one time.
