[Ad – Gifted Products] We are a big candle household, often checking out lots of candles at our local Homesense. It’s just one of those things that we always have in our house, often rotating the various scents throughout the year. I have a pretty high standard at this point when it comes to candles, as I very much want a scent that lasts and has a good burn rate. So, I had high expectations when the Esmeralda Candle Co Candles arrived! However, these candles actually already smelled fantastic, through their packaging, and I was very excited.
Esmeralda Candle Co Candles is a family run business, where Rebecca (the mother of the business owner) creates the scents and hand-pours all of the candle. Jake (also known as Dad) is the person who has photographed the candles and created the website. Their eldest daughter has created their online presence, running social media, and their other four children have helped out with different candle scents too. This brand was founded in 2024, with the mission to transform everyday spaces into fragrant oases through meticulously crafted scented candles, reed diffusers and wax melts.
Along with having all sorts of other smelly bits, their candles come in a bunch of different scents from ones that are more “default clean” to ones that are based on fruits or food. The scents themselves are very powerful too – exactly what you’d want in a candle. The Esmeralda Candle Co Black Cherry candle is my absolute favorite – it’s got such a strong, fantastic cherry scent (lit and unlit!) which just feels refreshing. Their Lemon Notes scented candle is more of a clean, refreshing scent that has a not-super-chemical smelling lemon, which is so appreciated.
In the Spring collection, Esmeralda Candle Co has a Blueberry Vanilla scented candle that isn’t overpowering in either scent, instead creating a fantastic balance of the two. This one we have had lit most recently, as it is one that just brings life to our house. The Buttery Croissant Scented candle absolutely made our house smell like freshly baked rolls – ideal if you are selling your house, but it just made me hungry! The actual packaging on these candles have them all as white wax, as they are made with natural soy wax, and they each are non-toxic and pet-safe. They burn for up to 45 hours, giving them a lot of time to bring these fantastic scents to your home. The outside of the candles are clean and sophisticated, as are the black, sleek, glass candle jar. They come in these beautiful black boxes too!
We have really enjoyed the Esmeralda Candle Co scents, which are truly wonderful. I am not sure how they get so much scent in each candle, but they are doing a fantastic job at it! There are also a bunch of other scents to explore, including some more masculine ones, like dark honey and tobacco as well.
