Splashing about at H2O Rampage Inflatable Aqua Park

A few years back, we went to an inflatable aqua park. Since then, we’ve gone to smaller versions on holiday, but it’s something all three of our children have mentioned regularly. This summer, Kai has asked to do “more high energy things” so we started looking at inflatable aqua parks again. Everyone loves spending sunny days in the water and we hadn’t visited H2O Rampage Inflatable Aqua Park before, so we decided to book it up! You get an hour long slot, which is just enough to utterly exhaust any adults and teens alike, despite them all saying that an hour isn’t long!

We arrived and drove down some pretty sketchy roads, before parking up and checking in. The process itself was pretty easy as we had pre-booked, but if you’ve not been there before, do give yourself plenty of time to get in and park. From there, they have a few changing rooms and picnic tables. We were already in our swim gear so just grabbed some life jackets. Amelia kept being handed the wrong size, so there was a bit of needing to go back and ask for bigger ones, but once we were all in it was good to go. It’s worth mentioning you can wear goggles on these inflatables!

H2O Rampage Inflatable Aqua Park was quite big! They explained the rules to us and then let us jump off the dock into the water and swim towards the inflatables. There is a giant main inflatable, which is where we spent most of our time, but there are also these side balls that have like four different grips where you can hold on and bounce about. This was extremely hard for us to get onto however, so we just didn’t this time! The main area had loads of slides and fun aspects to them. One of Amelia’s absolute favorites was the water trampoline. They have a large one sort of at the back center of the inflatable, but also some smaller ones that work as little water points towards the very back.

Kai, Dann and Robin all went off this huge rope swing that was right by the trampoline, which Kai said was his favorite! Dann forgot to let go at first and had to re-do his go. Kai and I got to go up a big climb to a slide that was absolutely so fast, probably being my favorite part of the whole thing. Robin loved it all and it did help reduce the amount of energy she had. I think she’s the only one of us that could do another whole hour! Amelia had a bit of a scary moment where she slipped under the inflatable and then Kai crashed into her, but she really had a good time otherwise, if not a bit tired.

We all were pretty tired by the end of our hour at H2O Rampage Inflatable Aqua Park. It’s one of those things that you start running about, falling into the water, and then the extremely challenging part of hosting yourself back up out of the water onto the inflatables (they do have these sort of side grips, but your vest gets stuck on them and honestly we just aren’t as in shape as we could be!) The staff at this specific park do not help you in and out of the water, but they do manage the different one-person-at-a-time parts; slides, rope swings and the like, which is very useful. After our time ended, we had the option of hosing off in an outdoor shower, and then got some ice cream. This is the dot-based ice cream, which I have never seen in England, and it turns out that they are the only place that can sell them in the area. It was a fantastic way to spend a warm summer day and all three children have asked to go back again, despite having sore parents that need to recover!

You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!

OMGOSH, this looks like a lot of fun. My kids would have a field day at this inflatable aqua park. We have one not too far and I may take the kids over the weekend.
