LootBox – Lifestyle and Fashion Subscription Box | Review

Lootbox

*AD – these items in this review was gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

When LootBox was looking for bloggers to take a look at their new lifestyle box, they didn’t have much information on what exactly would be inside. As someone who was trying out lots of subscription boxes at the time, I was curious as to what this new box might hold and if lifestyle boxes were good for me. After waiting months due to COVID, I finally got my, pretty mangled, box full of goodies and honestly, I wasn’t that impressed with the contents.

Bath Products

Let’s start off with some of the things I did like in this box! This soap was probably my favorite item. The soap itself smells very nice, an almost tropical scent, and I do love these little bags that make soap all bubbly and like a lofa. It’s a fun time. The Pineapple bath bomb was a bit simple, with a pineapple scent and being just a yellow bath bomb, but we are a big bath bomb house and I do like fruity scents so I was interested in this.

Stuff you can wear

When it came to the fashion related items in this box, I got a winter, button up, knitted jumper with a bit of an edgy twist – it’s covered in skulls. This makes sense for the time of year that I did order the item in, so I understand why it was in the box, it’s just not to my style. The fit is good though and the sweater does feel high quality. These Harper and Willo earnings also don’t match my style well, but are nice enough. They did have a weird sticker across the back that said luxury, but had been clearly ripped away, which was a bit odd, as it made the package look opened and then re-closed again. These two items felt the most expensive of the bundle.

A few other bits

When you normally order the box, sanitary products are optional, however I didn’t order the box myself so they sent some anyway. If you are someone who does get your period each month, and you are getting a monthly box anyway, getting some products tucked in can be a nice touch! My box also had a hair brush in it, though I have a lot of hair brushes so I just stuck this in one of our bathrooms, and a little key chain. I suppose the key chain is in the same slightly edgy style as the sweater, but it felt more like a kid’s item then an adult lifestyle box item to me!

Overall, I feel that LootBox just doesn’t specialize enough. There wasn’t anything in my box that I was super impressed by and a lot of the items are things that I have now gifted or items that I would already have in my home. I guess that’s sometimes the point in these sorts of boxes, but I just feel there was nothing to keep me, personally, continuing to subscribe.

If LootBox looks good for you, however, they have a number of packages on their website. My box came with an additional customs charge, which is something to be aware of!
