My Top Favorite Autumn TV Series

Prestige Hamper

I am not a spooky movie fan, to be completely honest. I don’t like watching things that will give me chills or freak me out. With that in mind, I do love fall and enjoy a good Halloween or Autumn series or movie to watch, especially if it’s not on the scary side! I decided to put together a little list of my favorite things to watch in the Autumn to get me into the Halloween Spirit.

What We Do In The Shadows

Dann suggested watching What We Do In The Shadows the movie one evening, while browsing Amazon Prime. I was a bit skeptical, as it’s recorded like an old documentary, which sometimes means horror, but no, What We Do In The Shadows is a really funny comedy about some vampires! Each of these vampires are from different eras, all of them are roommates, and they get up to all sorts of mischief. Along with the movie, there is a TV series with a bunch of episodes, produced by the actors from the movie, which is even better. We have watched What We Do In The Shadows a bunch of times and seen the entire TV series, happily waiting for the next season to be out! If you are interested in some funny vampires living their lives, this is perfect.

Ratched

I guess that Ratched is a bit more of horror than the previous show – there is gore, there is moments when you feel like something bad is happening, there is death, but it’s not too scary and I enjoyed binge watching the entire series on Netflix in two days. Ratched is a nurse who has, under mysterious circumstances, gotten a job at a hospital that takes care of a number of long-term sick patients. As the show evolves, you find that there is a reason Nurse Ratched picked this place to be a nurse at, and an whole motive to her plans, but in these plans she starts making harsh decisions. Ratched is more than meets the eye and does have a lot going on – and it feels quite spooky too.

The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell

It’s a fact that I love cooking shows, but I normally watch cooking shows that are achievable. The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell is a cooking show that focuses on all sorts of spooky treats, creating sweets that I could never imagine making myself – from huge beasts made of chocolate to massive gingerbread houses that are spooky. The episodes are really entertaining too, as there is a cast of puppets who talk to her and create a story around what she is making.

What do you watch in the autumn months?

This post is apart of our Blogtober series, all with a Halloween or Autumn theme.
