So, seeing the Pumpkin Spiced Cream Tea Hamper from the Cornish Company feels like an elevated, adult way to bring seasonal fun to your doorstep. They do also sell a hamper with bat-shaped scones as well, which look really fun, so you’ve even got options when it comes to a spooky little treat.
Inside the Pumpkin Spiced Cream Tea Hamper, there are four apple and pumpkin spice scones, which are soft, light and very fresh. They come right to your door, freshly baked, so that you do get quality scones. Dann said they were very soft for scones, which was ideal for us, instead of being dry and crumbly. Alongside your wonderful scones, you get everything you need to have a little afternoon tea. I have always had my scones with jam and clotted cream, but this hamper comes with caramel and clotted cream. At first, I thought that maybe the caramel wouldn’t go well with the scones, but due to the spices in the scones they match perfectly and feel like a little Autumn treat.
We added the clotted cream and caramel to our scones ourselves which everyone agreed was very good. The caramel was on the buttery side, which just paired well with the spiced scones and clotted cream. Amelia found tiny bits of apple in her scone which she very much liked and Kai, the resident caramel lover, deemed it a good amount of caramel. There was leftover clotted cream and caramel in the end, so you do not need to skimp on the scones!
Robin’s absolute favorite part of the Pumpkin Spiced Cream Tea Hamper was the pumpkin gingerbread cookie, which had a thick layer of frosting. There also was two types of bonbons – a candy apple flavor and a toffee flavor – which were both a lot of fun. No afternoon tea hamper is complete without tea! This hamper had four tea bags of traditional Cornish tea, which felt very balanced to the rest of the themed box, cutting through the sweet, thick nature of it all. We really enjoyed this hamper and found it to be so fresh and well selected – very much a fun time for the Autumn season.
