When it comes to toys, ones that have water are something that Robin seems to gravitate towards. Even in the middle of UK winter. Though, there isn’t many indoor winter water toys, we have allowed Quizzie to enter our home! Quizzie is a water squirting toy, that doesn’t make too much of a mess! It’s a robot that squirts water when you get things wrong, containing three different games!

Quizzie is controlled by a number of buttons. Three are on the front – a Start button, a power off button, and a select button. On the top of the robot, there is a circle that represents Yes and a X that represents No. These top buttons are used in the mini-games, where as the face buttons are used to select and set up games, as well as turn off the robot. The robot’s eyes and face are a displace screen, which does a bunch of different faces and shows all the icons that represent a bunch of different games!

The first game Quizzie has is a random game, showcased by a bomb. This game will give you a happy face or a smile face, and if you get the happy face, you are sprayed in the face! It’s quite random and simple, but it does build pressure, as you chain together smiles! The next game is a memory game, where Quizzie will show one of their faces, and you need to click the Yes button when it next appears. The most complex game in Quizzie is the Quiz. It is a bit complex when it comes to setting up this game, you need to select it, then hold down the play button to record your yes or no questions. Then, select the answer. Once you have recorded 5 questions, you can give it to someone else to answer, and then they use the Q icon to represent the actual quiz, where a microphone represents setting up the questions!

If someone gets the answer wrong, they get a big squirt of water. Amelia and Robin spent quite some time recording questions and getting each person to answer them. This recording plays it back in your voice, and we did find that whispering is much harder to understand then just speaking at normal volume. Once you get the hang of the buttons, it’s very easy to play through the game.

Quizzie offered a lot of different ways to have fun, and is quite easy to play with! Even refilling it with water is something that Robin was able to do. Despite it being a mini-robot, Quizzie is water proof, so you don’t have to worry when kids are filling it up.
