Spooky Halloween Ramen | Recipe

I love ramen! I have always loved ramen. Whether you want to make your boring, Top Ramen instant noodles a bit more spooky or want to get fancy with your own homemade bone broth, we have a bunch of cute ideas to make the spookies, tastiest ramen that you could enjoy! For our version, we used a pre-made ramen broth, as we just aren’t as skilled as we could be on making our own.

Radish Ghosts

One of Dann’s favorite things to put in ramen is radish! We decided to cut the bottom of the radish to be spiky and add a few seasame seeds to it, making eyes. These seeds might have looked better if they were black, but we had white so that’s what we used. To get them to stay inside the cut radish, you just need to place them down where you want them and then press the back of a spoon onto them, pushing them into the radish. They came out very cute!

Pumpkin Carrots

Pumpkin carrots have been previously mentioned when it came to packed school lunches – as it’s just so cute and effective! You just need to take a whole carrot and cut two parallel lines in the top, then cut from the sides of them out, creating a stem for your pumpkin once you slice your carrot. We left these raw, they added a good amount of crunch to the ramen and were very good thinly sliced.

Microgreens

Adding a pile of microgreens is quite spooky! We cut a bunch of these with scissors and piled them into a little ball to the side of our dish. Once they sat in the broth for a little bit, they withered, but still tasted very good.

Sauteed Mushrooms

We found some really lovely looking mushrooms, which feel spooky enough to include in this list! These mushrooms were sauteed in a pan with a bit of butter until soft, before added to bowl. Sauteing them makes the texture much more pleasing for us and adds a bit of depth of flavor to them as well.

Spooky Eggs

Of course, we also made some spooky, soft boiled eggs. After soft boiling the eggs, we cracked the shell gently and then placed them in a cut of black died water, over night. Once pealed, the outside of these eggs had a spider-web like look to them, making them very spooky for everyone to eat.

This post is apart of our Blogtober series, all with a Halloween or Autumn theme.

This looks so good! Love the pumpkin carrots, I haven’t ever had real ramen before, I’ve been wanting to; only ever had the cheap packets.
