When it comes to what I wear, I have been making more of an effort lately – especially as lockdown has started to ease – to find clothing that looks good on me. My clothing did need a bit of an overhaul and finding smart t-shirts that could be versatile, something that can be worn with jeans for a casual look or done up with a cardigan to be something a bit more sleek, was exactly what I needed.
Absolutely Bear reached out, to tell us a bit more about their story. Do you know those t-shirts with the little horse riders on the side? These are quite similar, but with a little, adorable bear. Absolutely Bear started their company by creating a t-shirt with a bit more care and meaning behind it. You see, the bear is meaningful – a callback to people, living in the city, who think back to nature. The bear is a strong and powerful creature found in nature – so the small nod to this helps represent the brand’s goals. They donate 1% of their gross annual earnings to vetted environmental non-profits, in order to help protect the planet. These sorts of companies are popping up more and more, but Absolutely Bear has been around since 2015, doing their bit to try and do good for the planet.
I picked out the Aspen Navy Organic Cotton T-Shirt, which is a really good cut on me. The sleeves are a good length and the material feels soft and comfortable. I don’t normally go for branded t-shirts like this, however, the little red bear on a blue background feels sleek and is a good design choice. Lately, I have been finding that the size I am in, the shirts themselves end up being a bit too wide or too short on me, but the length in this shirt feels just right – which might be due to the shirt itself not being the default cut found in a supermarket.
Absolutely Bear has a bunch of other shirts, some with bigger designs on them and some in completely different colours, as well as sweatshirts, polo shirts hoodies and even socks. Their clothing is of high quality and it’s great to hear that they are giving back to the world alongside their business.
I love discovering new clothing ranges, this tshirt is such a great colour and I love the bear logo.

I love a good sustainable brand but my struggle is always the same, their sizes are not inclusive. The biggest they make for some items is 2 xl and they are out of stock. Maybe in the future, if they open up their target clientele we could look into them but thanks for sharing.
