Lightopia London – a beautiful, illumination event

[Ad- gifted experience] Each and every year, Dann, Claire and I are all go to Lightopia. We’ve been going for years; before it was at the Crystal Palace! There are actually two Lightopia events on at the same time; one in Manchester and one in London. As we are closer to the latter, that’s the one we always go to. This year, they actually invited us along, which was a super exciting opportunity. It is worth noting that there is parking at Lightopia, but you do need to purchase a seperate ticket and they do run out fast!

A Day Out at Horrible Histories Terrible Tudors

We are on a mission to go to every Horrible Histories live show. We’ve been to the car drive-ins, we have been to the river Thames boat tour, so it felt like this summer was time to go to the stage show at Garrick theatre. Horrible Histories Terrible Tudors is an hour long stage show that follows the history of the Tudors, played completely by two actors, who are costume switching and being quite playful with the audience.

A Day out at Superbloom at Tower of London

Dann and I have actually known about the Superbloom event at the Tower of London for quite some time. You see, we went to an event in the Tower of London, which announced the event, along with an AR app that didn’t seem to go anywhere. They were looking for coverage on their AR technology in our day jobs, so we’ve been waiting around for when the Superbloom would be ready! If you didn’t know, the Superbloom is a garden all around the Tower of London, dedicated to the Queen, for the Jubilee. After seeing lots of pictures of how they predicted it would all look, we just had to go.

The Concrete Jungle Book at Pleasance Theatre

[Ad- gifted experience] Dann and I were very excited to attend another play, especially as The Concrete Jungle Book was in a new theatre we have not attended before; Pleasance Theatre. Pleasance is very interesting; above a large bar. Inside, they have their own bar, and have tables instead of seats. You can order snacks and drinks right to your table, or grab them from the bar before going in. There is a main area in front of the stage, as well as an elevated area, with various sizes when it comes to the tables themselves. The space felt great!

A Day Out at Inflata Nation Colindale

[Ad- gifted experience] Ever since going to Jump In, we have been really interested in trampoline and air parks! We frequent the one nearest to us so often that Robin actually had her birthday party there last month, so that she could show the place off to all of her friends. So when we heard about a new, inflatable air park opening up that’s not far away from us, we had to go check it out! Inflata Nation Colindale is Inflata Nation’s new London branch, which just opened!

Unlike other inflatable parks, Inflata Nation Colindale doesn’t have their versions of socks to purchase. This is actually the first airpark we’ve ever gone to that just let us jump with our own socks! This is really convened, as it is a bit of a pain remembering what socks we need and getting the kids to keep an eye on them, etc. Being able to just go in with what we have also means there is no added ticket price. There are cubbies for shoes to the side of the park, as well as paid lockers if you have more to store, and the parking at this park is free and well organised, giving plenty of options.
