We’ve explored a lot of our local Pumpkin Farms in Essex, so when we saw Tulley’s Pumpkin Farm, we wanted to go a bit further afield. None of us had previously been to Tulley’s Pumpkin Farm, so we packed up and headed over! This is a massive farm that has a lot of fun photo points, many of the traditional pumpkin farm classic events, and a bunch of works of art made of pumpkins!

We were all surprised about how commercial Tulley’s Pumpkin Farm was – it feels very American when you walk in! There are tons of tubs of different types of pumpkins, lots of little stalls, and a few American-style restaurants that are dotted about. There is a massive map as well, which is interesting, showing the layout of the place. When our kids spotted the pick and mix, we headed over and were delighted to see that everything was Halloween themed, with Halloween candy, so of course got some to take with us around the pumpkin art field.

When we got to the pumpkin art field, Amelia specifically was blown away. She declared this to be the best pumpkin farm we have ever been to. There were tons of different artworks made with the pumpkins – a pumpkin pond, some mushrooms made of pumpkins, a pumpkin hot air balloon, and so much more. There was even this floating pumpkin witch hat that you could take a picture of at an angle so it looks like you are wearing the hat. There were also a lot of photo sections, two pumpkin houses, and even little cottages that blend into the ground. It was so fun to walk around!

We then went on the pumpkin forest walk, which had lots of fall-themed flowers and little spooky decorations. This spit us out around the marshmallow toasting area, which feels so needed at a pumpkin patch. Tulley’s Pumpkin Farm not only had marshmallow toasting, but also has cheese toasting, with crackers! This was so different and quite fun. They do have a pumpkin patch where you can walk around and pick your pumpkin from the vine, as well as actors walking around – a giant scarecrow and some pumpkin people are the ones we saw, along with a farmyard couple who were playing live music as they walked around.

We had a lovely time at Tulley’s Pumpkin Farm, which was such a beautiful place to explore. There are tons of different pumpkins you can also purchase, along with different Halloween items to go with them, but we had just as much fun exploring the grounds and getting into the spooky season.
You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!
