Trying the new Wagamama x Buldak menu

[Ad- gifted experience] We are a big fan of Wagamama in our household, with one opening up in our town a few years back, which we often go to! Wagamama has Japanese-inspired dishes, which come out as and when they are ready. Their menus are often changing, with new features coming and going. Their latest collab, Wagamama x Buldak, added two new menu items that are full of spice. Robin, our in-house spice queen became very excited to try these! She has been a fan of buldak ramen (along with sriracha) for quite some time.

Buldak Fire Wings

We are all fans of a good, crispy chicken wing! The Buldak fire wings are very well cooked, nice and cripsy, tossed in a sticky, spicy buldak sauce. We all agreed these weren’t too, too spicy, but the heat did stack as you ate them. The coating was very good, and this might be my favorite chicken wing for quite some time, which is saying something. Kai was also a huge fan of these as well. Robin enjoyed these wings, but she was here for the new main.

Buldak Bibimbap

The main star of the Wagamama x Buldak collaboration is the Buldak Bibimbap. Amelia often gets the duck bibimbap at Wagamama, so having a new one to try seemed very fun. Robin, Dann and I all got this, with Robin ordering the extra side of Buldak, to pour over hers, as she wanted the heat. The rice for this dish was cooked in the spicy buldak sauce, which was extremely flavorful. The toppings included an egg, cabbage, some beef brisket, red pepper, baby corn, green beans, and fried onions, along with a good amount of buldak drizzled around it. Robin found all of the vegetables, especially the baby corn, to be a very fun addition to dinner! She liked the taste of the meat and found the rice to be a good amount of space, though she did pour over more of the buldak sauce too! It’s great that this an optional thing to pour on, so that you can really control the heat level.

Wagamama is always a good time, and for those who like space, the Wagamama x Buldak collab isn’t overly spicy and really feels like a fun, new addition to try! (Amelia also got a shundo while in a Pokemon Go raid outside of Wagamama, which felt extremely lucky and added to the vibes.) These menu items are only here for a limited time, so if you are a fan of a bit of spice, do try them out before they are gone.
