Zooz Drink – Mushroom Infused Energy Drink

[Ad- gifted product] The beginning of the year is often all about trying new things and improving your health. I cut out all at-home soda over a year ago, but still have an energy drink every other day. I just like feeling more awake and tend to drink one all throughout the day. When I heard about Zooz Drink being an energy drink with no sugar, lots of healthy ingredients, and no fuss, I wanted to give it a go!

Zooz Drink follows the trend of having lions mane in it’s products, which is a type of mushroom that has been appearing in vitamin supplements over the last year. I am not sure if I fully understand where this trend has come from, but this is my third product that I’ve tried that is listing this as a healthy ingredient. It also has ginseng and cordyceps, along with notes of citrus. When I first took a sip, it was not really the drink for me.

I had this drink over some ice, where it tasted kind of like floral decorations and tonic water. I am not a fan of tonic water at all, so I gave it to Dann to try. He instantly said “oh god, yeah you won’t like this” and then said it did taste far too much like eating plants for him. Dann said it might be good mixed with something, but the taste was very acquired. We didn’t end up drinking any more of it.

I am not sure I got any citrus vibes from it, so it’s got to be a drink for those that want to drink a sort of flowery seltzer water. There is a lot of good about switching your energy drinks from something full of sugar to something full of beneficial mushrooms, natural caffeine from green coffee beans, and things like orange peel, however it was just too bitter and strange for me.

I don’t have a huge sweet tooth, so I’m actually very interested in giving this a try. I’ve been looking for an alternative to the one I’m using now that’s full of caffeine.

Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts! It’s interesting how lion’s mane, ginseng, and cordyceps are popping up in so many wellness products lately.

I recently started trying some coffee alternatives such as tea and mushroom coffee. Both are pretty good, but now I feel like I’m onboard with any kind of mushroom food or drink. So I’d be willing to give this product a try for sure!
