Exploring the Horrible Histories: Up in the Air Adventure event

There is a new Horrible Histories event, so naturally we had to ask Kai if he wanted to go! With him being a teenager now, I am always surprised when he is willing and even excited to go to an event, and Horrible Histories has always been one he really likes. The Horrible Histories: Up in the Air Adventure was very different from previous performances that they have put on, as this wasn’t a play and instead is an event around the Royal Airforce Museum with several sections of activities that children can take part in.

A Day Out at Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain at Harlow Playhouse

We have very nearly seen every single Horrible Histories play. With just two left, when Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain was shown as playing locally, there was no way that we couldn’t attend! We’ve actually never been to the Harlow Playhouse before, as a family, and decided to invite along one of Kai’s friends. Since Kai’s friend was with us, he was pretty busy hanging out, and we didn’t end up getting a family photo – but that’s okay, as we did enjoy the performance so much – as did his mate.

A Day Out at Horrible Histories Terrible Tudors

We are on a mission to go to every Horrible Histories live show. We’ve been to the car drive-ins, we have been to the river Thames boat tour, so it felt like this summer was time to go to the stage show at Garrick theatre. Horrible Histories Terrible Tudors is an hour long stage show that follows the history of the Tudors, played completely by two actors, who are costume switching and being quite playful with the audience.

A Day Out at the Horrible Histories Live Onboard! Terrible Thames

When looking for some fun things to do with the kids, we found that Horrible Histories was doing another live event. As Kai really loves Horrible Histories, and often we are looking for events he will enjoy, we had to book up tickets and see what it was like. The Horrible Histories Live Onboard! Terrible Thames was a really wonderful tour all up and down the Thames river in London.

A Day Out at Horrible Histories Christmas Car Panto

As previously mentioned, Kai really enjoys Horrible Histories. After he read his Horrible Histories Horrible Christmas book, we heard about the Horrible Histories Christmas Car Panto, which seemed like a really fun event. We have not been to a drive in before, and I have not been to a panto as those aren’t something we have in America, but I was super excited to figure out how both would work!
