A Day Out at Adventure Golf

Adventure Island is very close to our home, and so we go so often! Though Adventure Island is an amusement park and arcade, there is Adventure Golf attached to it, which allows people to pay a fee to take on one of two mini-golf courses. We have passed this on our way into the park several times, and it was finally time to try it out. There are two different courses at the Adventure Golf that you can take on and we went for the one that sort of moved above the other, getting some height in the course!

Adventure Golf is a pretty traditional dinosaur themed golf adventure, with several different holes for you to try out. As the course we went on was moving upwards this meant that there were a lot of bumps, stairs to climb, and some different varieties in the holes that we were trying out. The area around each hole was more decorated than the individual ones, with lots of high walls that felt like the beginnings of caves, a dinosaur eating a skeleton instead a fallen plane, and a river with big plants all around it. The individual holes, however, just had small details to do with dinosaurs or were just grass, which is okay.

We did find that the upkeep of the holes were mixed – some of them didn’t have a starting point that was stuck down, meaning it had moved by the last person playing and needed to be reset between each person. This felt annoying, and sometimes it meant that the starting platform was really damaged from being thrown around or moved a lot of times. Other holes, however, especially ones with new elements felt very well made. There was one hole at Adventure Golf where you could put through a tube a it came out various places on the other side and another where your ball followed a bridge across water, which is very fun to watch.

The course itself doesn’t have much standing room either, if you are watching or are done with your putt. Some holes seem to have way more than others, but often we had to go well ahead to be able to wait for our group to get through the hole – but we were a rather large group so others may not find it to be so tight. Otherwise, Adventure Golf was a decent, but unremarkable mini-golf experience. For the combo price of doing both, you do get an experience worth the price. If you are at Adventure Island, especially if you have the pass which gives you a discount, it’s well worth doing!

Oh mini golf is so much fun! We used to go down to the beach and play all the time when we were little. The best memories…looks like you all had a grand time!

I didn’t know there was a pass that gave discounts to area adventures. We just went to Adventure Island. I’d totally do the golf.
