I have been tinkering around more with my camera, especially since picking up some new lenses! My favorite thing to take pictures of tends to be flowers, getting close up to their pedals when it comes to the morning walk to school or when out and about. I also quite like taking pictures of food, but that’s likely because I just love cooking too. I’ve had a lot of fun taking more pictures of my family as well, which I’ve been featuring around our blog.

Sam Wu is NOT afraid of Ghosts at the Polka Theatre
[Ad- gifted experience] We were delighted to be invited back to the Polka Theatre, especially as Robin loves this place so much! If you aren’t aware, they have a massive rom for younger kids, which has costumes, a reading corner, coloring, block building on a magnetic board and other toys to play around with. This time, due to the lovely weather, the outdoor play park was also open, however we were pretty busy on the day and didn’t stick around to play this time. We did, however, have a fantastic time watching Sam Wu is NOT afraid of Ghosts.

Harlow Chinese School Cooking Course – Sesame Prawn Toast and Satay Sticks
Dann and I absolutely have loved the last few cooking classes we attended at the Harlow Chinese School! This was the last cooking course for the school year, so we were excited to learn how to make some Sesame Prawn Toast and Satay Sticks – and there were some surprise side dishes that we got to have as well. This cooking course is really casual with a big focus on fun and exploring new foods. Sesame Prawn Toast and Chicken Satay Sticks are really classic party food in England, so it was fun to make our own.

Lunch at Gilpin Spice – pan-Asian food
While on our anniversary in the Lakes, we always are looking for fun food to try. We both really enjoy Asian food, so on the more rainy day, we decided to go for a big lunch at Gilpin Spice, which is a restaurant attached to a hotel. You do not need to be staying at the hotel to eat here and can easily walk in and enjoy the menu that they have on offer. When we went, at about 1pm, it wasn’t too busy at all. The venue itself had bar seating that looked straight into the kitchen, as well as a bunch of tables and booths. We opted to watch the chefs cook our food! They do have a short menu at Gilpin Spice, but everything smells and tastes fantastic.

Pretty Suds SpongeBob SquarePants Bath Bomb Box
After getting the box of Pretty Suds Pokemon Bath Bombs, Robin really wanted a box of SpongeBob SquarePants themed ones! You see, she has been recently super obsessed with SpongeBob SquarePants as we watched the movies for our Girls Night and then she has been watching all of the TV series when she’s been bored at her other house. She’s basically quoting SpongeBob and sharing jokes at this point! I figured it would be pretty fun to get her this box of bath bombs, especially as Pretty Suds had done a fantastic time with the Pokemon box. Obviously, Pretty Suds doesn’t own the license, so they have some funny names for these characters.
Bob Sponge Pants Square Bath Bomb
This is just SpongeBob’s face, which is really spot on, making it Robin’s absolutely favorite. The teeth on mine were not very white, but you could really tell they were there. Bob Sponge doesn’t smell too fruity or floral, and instead is scented with coconut and dragon fruit. I think this is great for kids that don’t love strong scents, especially with how detailed SpongeBob is!
