Fun Food at Battle Hill Brewing Company

I have been to Battle Hill Brewing Company a few times, as I lived so close by. However, Dann had never been there, so when we were looking for a place for a late lunch, I thought he would find some of the food interesting. It’s one of those small town places that has lots of regulars, a bar you can sit at, and a handful of tables. There are lots of decorations that feel American as well.

Kalinn’s Porter Pretzel Bites and Dillon Rolls

We wanted to try a few things, so started off with Kalinn’s Porter Pretzel Bites, which are these warm, delicious soft pretzels with three dips. The first dip was honey maple, which was my favorite, as it was sort of like a very sweet honey mustard. The horseradish mustard was on the tangy side, but was nearly as good. There was also a beer cheese, which was creamy and needed to be smeared on the pretzel bites. Either way, they were fantastic! The thing I really wanted from Battle Hill Brewing Company was the Dillon Rolls. These are giant, hollowed out pickles that are then stuffed with cream cheese, shredded cheddar jack and bacon. Then they are wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and deep fried. They are an experience! I absolutely love them, though I can never finish a whole picke.

Boneless Bullets

For our mains, Dann and I both got buffalo boneless bullets, which are pieces of boneless chicken breast cut up, hand-breaded, fried, then tossed in sauce. They come with a choice of blue cheese or ranch and some bits of vegetables on the side. These were delicious – I love the crispy different-sized pieces. They just are good.

Dann ordered a few of the beers from Battle Hill Brewing Company, of which they have seasonal changes to their menu and some are sold there to bring home. It’s quite nice having so many options! He liked both of the flavors he had and noted they were quire different. I had a strawberry vodka lemonade which was also very good. It’s just a lovely, quant place to eat at. They have a yearly mug club, where members can get to attend special meals and get their own, custom mug, which is such a cute idea. The staff is super friendly and it gives off fantastic, small-town vibes.
