Breakfast at The Silo Restaurant and Gift Shop

The Silo Restaurant and Gift Shop is a pretty interesting place to eat at in Upstate New York. My cousins wanted to go here, as one of them really loves the eggs benedict crab cakes, and wanted to show me the place. We went with my dad for a breakfast and then a bit of an explore around the gift shop aspect of The Silo. But first, let’s get into the food.

Breakfast at Scrappy’s Diner

One morning while visiting my family, my sister planned on going to Scrappy’s Diner for breakfast, and I tagged along! I remember going out for breakfast here when I was in my last year of high school, so it was neat to return back. Scrappy’s Diner is very much a classic American dinner, with booth seating, a little bar where you can sit on your own, and a lot of classic breakfast and lunch dishes. We went before lunch started to be served (though breakfast is served all day) as our goal was to have something for breakfast.

Pizza and Snacks at Sunnyside Par 3

When looking for a place to eat, my cousin suggested Sunnyside Par 3, as he had eaten there before. This is a sort of casual eatery, with golf both inside and outside. We were not there for the golf and were there, instead, for some pizza and snacks! They also do burgers and the like, so it’s a good time if you like party food.

Exploring Alfred Z. Solomon Grassland Bird Trail

I got a new lens for my camera while in America, as I really do love taking pictures and I have had a lot of free-time when it comes to my day to day in America. After getting the lens and spending a few days tinkering around with it, my cousin had suggested going to the Alfred Z. Solomon Grassland Bird Trail, which is near where he works. So, we went along one extremely sunny day hoping to catch some birds!

Dinner at Log Jam Restaurant

The Log Jam Restaurant in Lake George is aimed to mimic the Adirondack experience of being in a cabin and eating some fantastic food. The actual restaurant is huge, one room has a fire place, another has tons and tons of plants… it’s a very unique looking building that feels just like it’s own homey vibe. My sister works at Log Jam and has said the food is fantastic, so we were excited to go and eat! We did sit at the bar, though there were plenty of tables, as she prefers to do that. They do have a large menu with steak, seafood and a lot of fun dishes.
