[Ad – Gifted Products] Crystal Art is not a new thing in our household, from Crystal Art keychains to ornaments, to other Disney franchises too. With the new Star Wars movie out now, of course it’s only natural to see the Crystal Art Mandalorian and Grogu XL Buddies, which are two, quite large, Crystal Art figures that can be displayed on a base! Robin very much wanted to do Grogu, giving me permission to take on the Mandalorian.
Crystal Art is a sort of paint by numbers, but instead of paint, it’s done with crystals. It’s not a messy task either, as each of the different colored gems are in clearly labelled bags, allowing you to open one at a time, pour them into the included tray, and then stick them onto your figure. We got one tray and one applicator, along with one square of wax that is used by stamping the applicator on the wax to then allow them to pick up the crystals. We had a few trays and applicators from our other projects, so we started dividing it up and doing the Crystal Art Mandalorian and Grogu XL.
The Mandalorian was larger than Grogu, requiring more crystals. These kits do have plenty, with little baggies to organise the extras. We had a lot of spills this morning for some reason, so I am glad that there was extras so I didn’t need to go chasing them about. Sticking the crystals to the flat figures is pretty easy, and soon we were finishing entire bits of them. Robin and I do like doing these sort of mindful activities in the morning while chatting, before the house is awake and full of noise as we are both early risers. She was super excited to see how they turned out.
Mandalorian is very well proportioned, with such a big, stand out helmet. I do like the color choices as well. Grogu, next to Mandalorian on the stand, isn’t to scale but also is well proportioned with the little orb-like ship they are in. It’s such a cute set and it was so much fun sticking everything on. Both of these flat figures stick well into the base, making for a cute decoration for Star Wars fans. Robin very much enjoys these types of crafts and we both had fun making the Crystal Art Mandalorian and Grogu XL.
