Pumpkin Seeds 3 Ways

Pumpkin seeds are a must this time of year, especially when you are already carving pumpkins. Did you know, that different types of pumpkins are used for different things? The inside of carving pumpkins aren’t very sweet and don’t make for good puree. Their seeds, however, do make for a good snack – as do the seeds of larger cooking pumpkins. We used the seeds from an Australian heirloom – blue/gray – pumpkin.

A Day Out at Marsh Farm’s Pumpkin Picking Village

Looking for a pumpkin patch to find your Halloween Pumpkin is no small task. There are normally many, many pumpkin places around, but we wanted to explore something new! Jupiter found Marsh Farm’s Pumpkin Picking Village (and Halloween Festival) and was quite excited about it. It’s not too far from us by car, so we figured we’d all go after school and grab some pumpkins to carve up for our doorstep.

Arriving at the Pumpkin Picking Village, we were all impressed with the spooky barn that you have to enter through. Once in, you can put down a £5, refundable, deposit on a green wagon to take into the pumpkin area. We did get one of these as each of us were set on getting a decent sized pumpkin, as well as some smaller pumpkins, to decorate the house. Marsh Farm has set up their pumpkin village to be a great place to take photographs, as well as find the perfect pumpkin. There are a bunch of different types from nobbly ones to classic orange pumpkins, to white ghosts or spliced pumpkins (that had a few different squashes growing inside of other ones).

Wicked Kitchen Orange Pumpkin Pesto | Review

I love trying new pumpkin items when it comes to Autumn! When I saw Wicked Kitchen had an Orange Pumpkin Pesto, I wanted to try out some of it and see how it went! To make things double spooky, I grabbed some spinach linguine to cook up with it. We do eat a lot of pesto in our home, mainly classic, green (made with basil and spinach), pesto on top of pasta. Having a jarred pesto can be a bit hit and miss, so we had our fingers crossed.

Pilipalahandmade Halloween Wax Melt | Review

Along with the massive amount of candles that we have purchased for Halloween, we picked up a Halloween wax melts box from the Etsy seller Pilipalahandmade. At the price of £8, this box of wax melts feels like a bargain! There are a bunch of different scents and shapes that really seemed perfect for Halloween, so let’s get right into these sents!

Pumpkin Spice Wax Melt

I got two pumpkin spice wax melts in my box, both looking like cute, orange pumpkins! There is a slight citrus undertone, bringing a fruity note to this wax melt, but the spices are there, bringing the pumpkin and classic Autumn feel to this box of melts.
