A Night Out at the Star In Shoreditch

[Ad- gifted experience] The Star in Shoreditch has recently re-opened, after renovations and a name change! Previously known as the Roadtrip, Dann and I had not been to this venue before, and were excited to see all of the renovations and check out what this new hot spot had to offer.

When we arrived, we were impressed by the amount of outdoor seating this venue has! The Star in Shoreditch is very well decorated with an American theme; American flags, neon signs, and a lot of different seating! The place quickly filled up with people looking to see what this new venue was all about.

A Weekend Away at Wookey Hole

[Ad- gifted experience] Wookey Hole is something that has been talked about by Dann for quite some time. He remembers going there on a trip as a child – which seems like something every British kid gets to do at least once in their life! I had not heard of the place before, but am always excited to take on new adventures. Unlike other weekends away, Wookey Hole felt more in touch with nature by the sounds of things; a remote area, a cave, tons of stuff for kids to do. We were pumped.

A Day Out at Wonderlab: The Equinor Gallery in the Science Museum

We have been to the Science Museum in London a few times, as it’s such a fun adventure! The museum itself is free to enter, with a variety of different exhibitions from things about space, to airplanes to pop up exhibitions on things like color. With so much to explore, we had not often tried any of the add on extras, but this time the Wonderlab had a bunch of different posters throughout, and Robin asked if we could go.

A Day Out at The Book of Will at the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch

[Ad- gifted experience] We are back at the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch for another wonderful performance. The Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch is a really wonderful venue – our current favorite. We got a few drinks at the bar, which has on the tap cocktails, and then settled into our seats for The Book of Will. The Book of Will is a love letter to Shakespeare, showcasing a group of the King’s Men and their wives, who are looking to preserve as many as William’s plays as they possibly can.

A Day Out at Aladdin Sane: 50 Years Installation at Southbank Centre

David Bowie has, arguably, been one of the most successful and talented musical artists in human history. Few creators can claim that, and fewer had successful albums released in six consecutive decades. A large part of the charm and appeal of Bowie’s work was how he twisted and changed over time, reinventing himself — as characters — with new releases. While a lot of people talk about Ziggy Stardust’s time, or the massive shift that came with Low, Aladdin Sane is easily one of the most important transformations, and The Southbank Centre has been celebrating that, and Brian Duffy’s lightning portrait that made up the front cover, with their Aladdin Sane: 50 Years celebration installation.
