Exploring the Bay of Abandoned Hotels in Kupari, Croatia

When going to Croatia, one of the things that people kept mentioning was “exploring the abandoned hotels”, so obviously we wanted to have a look for ourselves. There are three really large hotels on the bay, which have all been abandoned after being shot up during the war in 1991. They have been left to rot and rust, some of which have serious fire damage, and many of which have graffiti.

Enchanted Garden at Harlow Museum

The Harlow Museum and Walled Gardens has been hosting more and more events, especially as we head into the summer season! One of their most interesting event to us was the Enchanted Garden, as it looked like something Robin would very much enjoy. We have previously been to the Harlow Museum, though many years ago, but are trying to do more local activities as more events seem to be popping up. Dinner at the Hare Pub

Dann and I were out in the evening playing Pokemon Go and wanted to go out for dinner afterwards instead of getting groceries and making something! We decided to stop at The Hare Pub, which is a part of the McMullen pub chain. They run events like a weekly pub quiz and poker night, bringing some extra excitement into the venue. They also have a separate billiards area, lots of outdoor seating, and indoor dinning. We opted to eat inside as it was getting a little dark and late outside for us. When we went, they had both their standard menu and a smaller selection of Chef Recommendations as well, which worked as specials.

They have coin operated pianos, pinball machines, slot machines, little peep shows, puppets, love tests and so much more. Many of them are very old machines, some of which you can only find at the venue.
