We go to our local swimming pool at least once a week and venture further to the ocean nearby often, taking loads of trips. We have basically got going to the swimming pool or beach down to a science – complete with different fun toys for the children, changes of clothing, and towel robes to keep people dry. However, one thing we did struggle with until recently was backpacks that held all of our wet and often sandy water supplies on the way back.

Harley Hound and Red Spotted Ned | Children’s book review

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to childrens books, our household collects them! Every single night before bed, one of the three children pick out a story book and we all read together. Reading is a key part of our day, and we always are on the look out for new books to add to our collection, so we were delighted to hear about the two new books by Chris Jones, called Harley Hound and Red Spotted Ned. These two children’s books are slightly different from the books we have had in the past in our collection, which really stands out to us! But first, let’s talk a bit about the author.

A Day Out at IWM Churchill War Rooms

[Ad- gifted experience] As he gets older, Kai is getting more and more interested in history, but perhaps most specifically in areas that his schooling have touched on; WWII, the Tudors and Anglo-Saxon Britain. As such we’ve taken him along to a ringwork and bailey fortification, manor houses and museums over the years, but a great opportunity presented itself in the form of visiting the Churchill War Rooms recently, and so we headed over.

The Bear Can Read Koala Box for July | Review

Despite summer being in full swing, we have been aiming at keeping our learning up in the Hadley-Sullivan house hold! Even though we have been taking many trips out and going on holiday, there has still been time for reading and learning. Robin has continued to enjoy her The Bear Can Read Koala Box. This month included a lot of information about a Bear Picnic, though we haven’t been able to organise a picnic with teddies due to how busy we have been, we had spent time going through the worksheets and reading the book in this month’s box.
