Group Dinner at Casa Rufo

[Ad- gifted experience] I spent some time in Bilbao, Spain – where I was recommended a few places to eat, including Casa Rufo. Casa Rufo is sort of like a deli when you walk in; there are cans of different fancy ingredients and a deli display, which had a bunch if items that would go great in some sort of hamper. The inside had tons of wine racks, with lots of bottles of wine sticking out. It feels rustic and quite like a hidden gem, where you would find a bunch of small plates and fantastic wine. Thankfully, one of the members of staff did speak English, so it was very easy to order as well.

Zooz Drink – Mushroom Infused Energy Drink

[Ad- gifted product] The beginning of the year is often all about trying new things and improving your health. I cut out all at-home soda over a year ago, but still have an energy drink every other day. I just like feeling more awake and tend to drink one all throughout the day. When I heard about Zooz Drink being an energy drink with no sugar, lots of healthy ingredients, and no fuss, I wanted to give it a go!

Mozsly Watch Winder – Great Quality

[Ad- gifted product] As the resident watch expert at jupiterhadley.com I was provided the Mozsly Watch Winder to review. For those of you who may not be familiar with watch winders, or their purpose, they are devices used to keep an automatic watch wound. Before I get into why you might want to buy one of these devices, allow me to give you a quick crash course in watches. There are three main types of watch movements; quartz – the most common type, found commonly in low-end and more affordable watches, a movement typically powered by a cell battery. These watches keep excellent time and for the purpose of timekeeping, are superior to mechanical watches. Next we have hand-wound. These watches are powered by a coiled spring that the wearer must regularly wind up by turning the crown of the watch. Finally we have the automatic movement. Similarly to hand-wound, these watches are powered by a mainspring, but instead of having to wind the watch by hand it winds itself using a weighted rotor that spins as you move around during the day.

That’s Not a Hat tests your Bluffing and Memory

[Ad- gifted product] Some Monday’s we are a bit pressed for time. That’s when smaller, ice-breaker style tabletop games come out and are perfect to play. That’s Not a Hat is all about bluffing what card you are currently moving to another person. We played as a family, with Dann, Amelia and Robin joining in while Kai played DND at our local Geek Retreat. The game itself was very easy to pick up and start with, which was ideal for our group.

The Toaster – Fantastic Brunch Spot

A friend of mine said I should go to The Toaster and try their hashbrown nachos when I spoke about making weird nacho food for Kai. I had not heard of the place and though I am not a big brunch or breakfast fan, while Kai and Robin were at school (and Amelia still on holiday from her school), we wanted to go out somewhere new. The Toaster came to mind, so we all headed out to see what the food was going to be like. To our surprise, it was probably the best brunch I am ever going to have in my life.
