The Rotten Fruit Box | Review

[Ad- gifted product] It’s not wide knowledge that I use to work at a little, local apple orchard. When I was a teenager, I got a job at an apple orchard, working with some of the activities that happened at the venue. Eventually, I ended up working within the grading part of the store. Grading fruit is an important part of selling fruit or vegetables. It’s basically when someone picks up each and every bit of fruit that is brought in and checks it over. They need to make sure the fruit have stems, is the right color, has no holes or bruises, looks perfect, etc. A lot of the grading process is literally just looks. Graded fruit also couldn’t be picked up from the ground. Once they are graded, grade A apples are bagged and sold, while apples that did not hit grade A, where used for other things. Wine, apple cider, apple pie, apple sauce – being a small and local farm, the owners needed to use these discarded apples to continue to help their profits. The Rotten Fruit Box actually takes fruit that has touched the ground and turns them into freeze dried fruit snacks!

Pho Battersea – Restaurant | Review

We saw that the Battersea location of Pho was having a refurbishment launch, offering 50% off all of it’s menu items for one weekend only and we had to go check it out. The venue was packed, with a full bar and all the seats were full. We didn’t have to wait too long for a table to free up though! The venue itself is quite nice, though it’s a bit dark when it comes to lighting, apart from spotlights that literally shine on a single person in one of the seats, which feels odd.

Lazy Flora Plant Subscription | Review

Until recently, we only had a few plants on our window in the kitchen. An orchid Dann got me as a gift, a random plant we meant to gift to a friend but were a month early to their housewarming and small, stem-y plant that Dann picked up on a whim. We really enjoy these little plants, but have been looking for some more to fill other windows in our home. When it comes to plants for indoor gardening, we often don’t know, off the top of our head, what they are, how to look after them, or if they will get along with Pancake our cat.

Plants make Dann happy and I enjoy them too – bringing a little bit of freshness and outdoors indoors. When I saw Lazy Flora advertised on Instagram, I took a look at it. The company is new and focuses on sending a different plant, either indoor or outdoor, to your home each month. You can upgrade your plan to include a pot for the plant and you can also specify if you need pet friendly plants or if you don’t mind. We went for the pet friendly plants with the pots and subscribed for two months. We got a bonus Rubber Plant for signing up to their newsletter and also ordered a terrarium.

Month One, February

This beautiful journal is chock full of different questions and pages, meant to be used daily to keep things interesting and engaging.

The Happy Confident Me Journal has a little bee friend that walks children through the purpose of the journal and helps guide them through various pages and feelings. The first few pages are dedicated to listing different feelings and understanding why the book is helpful and a guide to how each page works, as well as some drawing pages for children to go wild on.

BETAFEM Daily Feminine Wash | Review

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to staying clean and cleaning myself, I have always been pretty brand loyal and used a variety of different products depending on what part of my body that I am washing. Having shampoo and conditioner that reacts well with my hair is important to me, as is having separate body wash, face wash, and wash for intimate areas. The skin on your face has different needs than your hair, your intimate areas have different needs to your skin else where. Having different soaps to clean different parts of your body has always just made sense to me. BETAFEM is not a brand I had heard about previously, but when they reached out I wanted to try their feminine wash and see how it was compared to what I had already been using as the brand I had been previously using was one that I wasn’t 100% happy with, if I am honest.
