Gener8 – Browser Extension that rewards watching Ads

[Ad- gifted product] When I heard about Gener8 – an extension that pitched itself as being similar to Honey, I was quite interested in checking it out. For those of you who aren’t familiar with browser extensions, they are add on apps to your browser that can do a bunch of different tasks. Honey is one that I use often, as it automatically searches the web and finds discount codes, then uses them to get discounts when online shopping. Gener8 isn’t looking to give you coupons and instead rewards you with virtual currency for watching ads if you use the browsers Chrome or Firefox.

Ads are all over the internet, on virtually every website you see. It does sound strange to get paid to view ads, especially as ads are how other companies do make money on their site. I was honestly very skeptical, but after using the browser for a few weeks now, I think I’ve figured most things out. Gener8 seems to replace ads on websites with their own ads – including putting their logo in the corner. My theory is that they then earn money from these ads, which allows them to give users rewards while still keeping some of the revenue. Personally, I do not know how the split would work for the websites that they are putting their ads on or how any of this works within the backend, but after watching some ads, viewing some sites, and generally using their platform – I had a bunch of their currency.

Grabolo! Family Friendly Game | Review

[Ad- gifted product] I only recently wrote about the fantastic Slam It! one of the family-friendly tabletop games that Ideal have on the market. Alongside that, there’s been a couple of other Ideal games that have been doing the rounds with the family. The favourite, by far and large, is Grabolo, a game of quick reflexes and memory.

Grabolo is a favourite for a couple of reasons, I’ll get into those reasons in a moment, but let’s talk about what it actually is first. Grabolo is a tub of 36 pieces, an instruction leaflet and two dice. There are six designs for the pieces, and six colours for them too. This means that you’ll have six (for instance) pig pieces, but each one will be a different colour. One die has the colours on, and the other has the shapes on.

Benefits of mixing your own massage oil

[Ad- gifted product] I have back pain. I think it’s a pain most of us can really understand and relate with. When I was young, I was kicked by a horse and have had back pain ever since. One of the best ways to get rid of this back pain is through back massages. Not only do massages feel relaxing and great, but revealing pain is a big part of why I constantly want and enjoy back rubs! If you are a fan of massages, one of the key things to take your massage up to the next level is through using massage oil. I’ve enjoyed a variety of massage oils over time, but found that SOiL has some great options, especially when it comes to mixing your own oil to have the perfect blend for yourself. When it comes to mixing your own massage oil, you need two different oils; a carrier oil and an essential oil.

The positives (and negatives) of a silk pillowcase

[Ad- gifted product] Pillowcases are a necessity in every and all houses. They keep your pillows clean and allow you to easily wash the outside of them, as well as look cute on your bed. Most people purchase cheap cotton pillowcases for their pillows, but there is actually a lot of benefits to purchasing a silk pillowcase, treating yourself to something a bit more luxurious, that will last longer and provide lasting health benefits to the person using them. I’ve now switched to a 22 Momme Mulberry Silk Pillowcase from Calidad Home. Let’s go over some of the positives of this lovely pillow case and some of the not so positives.

Upcircle Face Mask | Review

[Ad- gifted product] It’s a fact that we love face masks. We’ve written about our favourite masks recently as well, but wanted to branch out and find more fantastic masks to review and possibly update the list of our favourites a bit more. I found that I prefer clay or similar masks to sheet masks – and they seem to really last longer as well as feel better on my face. As Dann hadn’t done very many (at all) face masks before, he’s been really enjoying cleaning up his skin and having little pampering sessions. Our newest face mask from Upcircle actually has a pretty interesting concept behind it.
