[Ad – Gifted Products] LUSH has been known to have several different charity products going at the same time, covering a bunch of different causes. As I spend a lot of my time on social media and see how many children have un-restricted access to the internet, I felt really compelled by the CTRL Shower Gummy.

In the last few years, I have seen more and more online spaces become controlled by billionaire-owned corporations that just want to keep children unrestricted and addicted to the internet. Infinite scroll, generative video content, and a lack of safety features for those on the internet has expanded again and again. We co-parent with our children’s other parent, who very much was interested in putting them all in front of phone screens, unrestricted and without child accounts or parental moderation, at an extremely young age. This was something we – to this day – struggle with, especially with the youngest being 10 and knowing that she’s got unrestricted access to the internet, seeing things she shouldn’t and being in chats that she shouldn’t be in. There just isn’t enough protection when so many people are making money off of children’s attention span.
The CTRL Shower Gummy donates 75% of their sales (minus tax) to groups who are working to take power back from these massive tech companies and to make social media safer for younger audiences. I have not had a Shower Gummy before, as I am not a fan of bar soap and felt this might be the same. I find that often bar soap is something that makes my skin very dry when I use them and I felt this might do the same, but it turns out to not be the case.

This product is quite jelly-like, not super firm, and it’s see-through which is a lot of fun! The CTRL Shower Gummy is scented with ‘Let The Good Times Roll ; which is a buttery, sweet scent that very much is iconic at LUSH. There is carragreenan extract, which gives your skin a lot of hydration and glycerin which helps lock in moisture – it left me feeling quite soft and good. I do like how much the shower gummy froths as well, with a good amount of bubbles on it. It is bright green, leaving a bit of green while it dries, and it is slippery – but it’s fun either way! The suggestion is to pat your gummy dry and stick it to your bathroom tiles for future use. It’s fun with a great cause behind it.
