Halloween Party Prep with Design Bundles

Halloween Party

*AD/Collaboration, but as always, all views are my own.

After decorating our front door, we were well ready to start prep for our Halloween Party! We wanted to have a small Halloween Party this year so that the Halloween Spirit was still alive in our area. There are a lot of steps to preparing the perfect Halloween Party. We wanted to get ahead and start decorating the inside, as well as crafting and sending out a few invitations.

Witch Invitations

The invitations that we picked were witch-themed. These files have some text on them that you can customise, writing your information, name, date, etc. It makes a lot of sense to print your own invitation, as you can set the number you want. I have a lot of extra invitations from birthday parties that have never been used again. Paying for one design, customising them, and printing them individually felt like a better value then bulk purchasing – and less wasteful too!

Decorations & Goodie Bags

Decorations was the next thing we tackled. There were lots of little DIY touches that I wanted to do to take our decorations to the next level. First, we got some of the supplies from last year and started dotting them around. We got some caution tape to cover doors, always a classic, and some spider webs to stick in the corners. Inside the spider webs, we painted some egg carton containers black, added eyes and pipe-cleaner legs to make them a bit goofy!

Design Bundles has these super cute paper cut template that really come in so many varieties. We picked some of the easier ones – pumpkins – that could be done by kids and adults alike. If you haven’t used paper craft before, I would suggest printing them on card (as they last longer). These require no tape at all, so you can just cut them, fold them, and fit them together. It’s so fun to do little paper crafts and these pumpkins turned out fantastic.

When it came to adding little touches around, we found loads of spooky phrases and decided to stick Witching You a Happy Halloween to our giant cauldron, which was looking a bit plain. This cauldron is actually full of goody bags, for people to take on their way out. You can find a lot of different Halloween-themed toys for goodie bags in a variety of bundles on Amazon – I picked up this pack specifically and these bags, which provided more than enough items for our guests.

More Soon

While our decorations are all set, our front door is all done, all that’s left is to create some epic treats closer to the day! Keep an eye on this post, as there is more to come once everyone is here in their costumes.

This post is apart of our Blogtober series, all with a Halloween or Autumn theme.
